Anyone do TFT?
I know this post is really old, but I have taken Tim's TFT training and have to say that most people misunderstand what it is about. It is not a traditional MA at all and does not have "fighting" as it's emphasis. If you would like to know more, I can tell you. If not, no problem.

Fighting Bob Sapp
Absolutely right! That was a knockout if I ever saw one. He only beat Kimo by cheating. That cut was nothing for a guy his size. What I am waiting for is when he kills someone by dropping them on their head and their neck snaps from impact. He needs to be put down like a rabid dog IMO. He's gonna kill someone.

Christians and the Martial Arts
Hey Shogeri, what part of the Body are you a minister of?

Christians and the Martial Arts
Show me the history Balrog. Show me the religious leanings of those historians and we could argue all day. Drop this please as it has nothing to do with my original article. But one added note. I don't care what ANYONE says, Hitler was not a Christian. You can pay lip service all you want and it still won't make you a True Believer in Christ.

Christians and the Martial Arts
osnia was not done by Christians. That was muslims. The Crusades were simple people misled by corrupt Catholic leaders for a big land grab at home. The Holocaust were evolutionists who believed in the survival of the fittest that didn't like Jews or Chritians, and the Spanish Inquisition was again power hungry corrupt Catholic leaders that didn't like dissent. My two cents, but this is not what this article is about. You also give it away when you say "So called Christians". I would argue that they weren't Christians at all. True Christains wouldn't do the things that you speak of.

Christians and the Martial Arts
I take it you mean people who have been killed by Christians or do you mean that have been killed because they were Christians?

Christians and the Martial Arts
Some people want their religion to dominate their lives. Some do not look at this as a bad thing. If you do, that is your thing, please do not slight those who do. The same thing could be said for those whose religion is Self. Maybe those people should not think to highly of themselves. They should try thinking of others sometime. Just a thought...

Martial Arts and the Bible
You might want to check that thinking. Humans are not animals, they are humans. That line of thinking can be very dangerous for a Christian to get into. Check your Scrpiture on rights that we have. I think you will be suprised how few, if any we really have. Now US law is different. Let's not get the two confused.

Remeber though, no one twisted his arm to sign. I feel for ya man. Marry her and claim her illness. Seems like loophole to me.

Cannot leave dojo?
Regarding the Mononucleosis, it can take up to a year or more to fully recover from. A teenage friend of my daughter's, from our church, contracted it this past year, approximately 4-6 months ago. It has effectively ended her sports for the year. It can have lasting physical effects for the rest of your finace's life if she does not rest and have proper medical care. This should be your argument to your instructor after you are married. Again I stress, after you are married. Her finances become your finances, and vice versa.

The contract itself is what compels you to pay whether you train or not. The medical clause is what will allow you to get out of the contract with a small cancellation fee. A good contract will also offer a grace period that states that if you change your mind within a certain period of time, you may cancel without any fees. Check your local and state laws about contracts to see if legally he can keep you in the contract. Usually if you explain the situation, a good instructor will let you opt out. Where are you located anyway?

Does anyone play a musical instrument?
I have been playing the guitar for about 6 months now. Progressing nicely. I can play several simple 3 or 4 chord songs now using a few different strum patterns. I play an Epiphone acoustic.

Cannot leave dojo?
This would be your out. Your fiance is sick and you are paying her medical bills. **Wait the 11 days and she will be your wife.** Due to her health, you will no longer be able to pay your contract. Pay your $150 and walk. When you start martial arts again, pick a different school. $200 a month is extremely out of line with anything I have ever seen! Never sign a 3 year contract.

how do you lose BODYFAT?
I lose bodyfat by running really fast and ducking behind a corner. Bodyfat runs right by and I quickly slip out the other direction.

Leg training
You are probably not rotating the knee enough when kicking. This will trash your knee in no time at all. Make sure your knee is in line with the rest of your body, as if you were performing a front or American splits. Your foot should point the opposite direction of your kicking foot. I know he is not the most like of martial artists but he has a good sidekick for form. JCVD http://www.jeanclaudevandamme.net/432P2564.jpg Look at his support foot. Keep it flat or you will lose power.

Leg training
It is basically a squat without weights. Feet shoulder width apart facing straight ahead, put your arms out in front of you palm down. As you squat, only go until you thighs are parallel to the ground, no further, as this is hard on the knees. Pull arms back to sides and when you stand up, pull them up in front of you again and pull them back in a rowing type motion as you stand. Then squat again and drop the arms to sides and repeat exercise. Do 25 of these and see how you feel. If you can do more, great. If not, give it time, you will feel the burn. Hope this helps.

Popping noise when kicking
Definately have it checked. You could be looking for trouble like I did by not having it checked. My left hip hurts when I perform certain kicks and stretches because my hip flexors weren't strong enough. Do hindu squats to strengthen these areas. That will help some.
