What great links 47. Thanks. I must admit, some of them sound like crack pots, but the underlying theme for those people would be, I hope, that they don't want anyone to fall prey to Satan. So hopefully in their love and commitment to Christ, they say what they say. However, sometimes Christians in their humanity don't always share their love properly, if at all. I know I have fallen victim to my sins. I just hope people will forgive my shortcomings as easily as God does. Again, great links! Pilsung!

Here is an article I just read this morning. The man is a Christian and he created an American style of Karate. Pretty intersting read, check it out. http://www.worldblackbelt.com/pages/Oct04.04_KarlMarx.asp?trck=NL_092804

All good questions. Ki/Chi/Qi, depending on how you use the term, could go either way, in my understanding. If you mean we all have a spirit, then no, it is not against a Christian believing this. If you mean a force that ties and binds us all together that we can bend to our own will, then I personally would consider that a no-no for a true believer of Christ. Again, to think about something intently is not against Chirstian belief and is encouraged, especially the Word of God, but if you mean thinking on something so intently or the opposite, which is clearing the mind completely, so as to tap into some unseen force for lack of a better term, to improve one-self or bend that force to our own will, that would be against Christian belief. Bowing is nothing more than a show of respect, unless it is to worship something or someone. That would be against Christian belief. Learning fighting techniques for self-defense or defense of others is not against Christian belief. King David was a violent man with the blood of innocents on his hands, but he was considered by God Himself to be a man after His own heart. But because of this violence David was not allowed to build God's holy temple. The biggest difference between believers and non-believers is that believers are forgiven. We s crew up just as much as the next guy, but we try to live a certain way and learn from our mistakes. God forgives us because we ask and He wants to forgive. The rest of the world doesn't seem to understand that it is not what we as Christians do that saves us, but God's love and grace that saves us. All we do is accept a freely given gift. That's it. Sorry for the sermon, I hope some of the questions were answered sufficiently for you 47. Pilsung! -

Very true 47. But some arts still rely heavily on ancient tradtions and beliefs. I think the biggest problem might be that some areas are so limited on what is available to learn. TKD is the arguably the most prevalent art or sport there is and it has pretty much left it religious overtones at the door. -
Who wants a girl who acts like a five year old boy when he has a crush on a five year old girl? She needs to grow up. Maybe he should try to befriend her.

Very good article. My respect goes to "L" for his self-control and indomitable spirit in the situation. This one should be put into Black Belt magazine in my opinion.

Love that show. Could do without a few elements, but other than that, makes me laugh out loud and then some. I used to live in a small farming community and it fits some people I know real well. -

You tryin' to tell me somethin' 47? What's with all the homosexual references? Please understand that some of the prisons in the FBOP really seem to be a cakewalk. Art classes, free legal education, cable tv, 3 squares, pool tables, weight area, exercise rooms, etc... The list goes on and on. Some of these guys are just killing time and get ripped and educated how to beat the system. I think anything further on this should be moved to a new thread though. Thanks. -

It ain't called punishment for nothin'. Seriously though, I have worked in some prisons for my company and it is really more like a vacation at some places. Free education, all the exercise you want, free food. Only problem is you can't leave whenever you want. That is enough motivation for me to keep my nose clean. But again, I digress. Forgive me. -

That's right kiddies. The powers that be are in place to hand out whatever consequences you might have coming to you. Sin can be forgiven, but there are always consequences to your actions. Thanks for pointing that out DevilsAside. We can also forgive each other. Might take some time, but it is an achievable goal. But, sometimes you still have to pay a price for your wrong choices in life, those prices just don't have to be eternal. -
