  4. Its a proven fact that medicines made of natural items (from mother nature) are better for you than sythetic ones. When you run you are not suppose to touch your heels on the ground. It causes shock and resistance to the leg. Which in turn can damage your ankle and knees. You are suppose to run up on the balls of your feet and let your heel almost touch the ground. (This is actually kind of hard to explain). You can feel the difference though. If you run correctly it even seems like your running softer. The acid in your stomach can disolve a peice of metal over a small amout of time.
  5. I probably could create my own style. I will not however. I may change the style Im in a little. That is just different things in different places. So it is still the style I study. When I have my own school I have the right to say what goes where for the ranks. I have also added some things. I in no way would consider this my own style. (since it is all still pretty much the same)
  6. I think Dog Fights are stupid and Cruel Im not afraid of any dog. Show anything fear (mostly any animal and even insects) they will attack you more than if you dont have fear. Animals can sense fear. I personally dont fear any dog. I do know that if you stare a German Shepard in the eyes he or she will get pissed at you. Some dogs get pissed and others back away. That is kind of a way to see if they are aggressive or not. Seems to be more in German Shepards though. (I think they all get mad when you do it.) (Hey if you have a question for what dogs were bread for ask me. My sister is a vet tech and she knows what most were bread for) A bulldog was bread for a thing call Bull Baiting. Boxers were bread to hunt Bear.
  7. Ya pushups work a lot of your body....I dont see pushups as discipline. They to me are benifiting my health. Most students hate them because they think they are being discipline by making them do something ( are we as a society really getting this lazy ) Did you know sitting in front of the computer and vidoe games helps your hand eye cordnation. The downfall is sitting in front of them to much. Hurts your eys and you dont get any physical benefits. It has also shown that stradegy vidoe games and RPGs have increased a persons ability to think quiker on their feet. So vidoe games arent all bad. They have a lot of non physical benefits. The problem is playing to much of them will make you fat because your not moving around and it causes stress on the eyes which in turn may cause headaches. ( 2 hours is probably the most you should spend at a time on a game )
  8. Been in a couple...none went to the ground. Also only minor injuries occured to the person Basically showed them I wasnt the person to fool with.....left it at that.

  11. Grappling is not a waste of time. Training in everything is the only way to be a well rounded fighter. That way your not taken by surprize if you do get taken down. Grappling and striking arts can be mixed quite well. Just dont concentrate on one and keep practicing each one of them. Then practice mixing them.
  12. Hey you can still study the thoery.....sorry to hear about your situation.....but im sure you can cheer up and make the most out of this. Im sure you will heal and get back to your training. Until then stay happy and keep your knowledge growing.
  13. I watch people in the ring before I fight them...I try to adapt myself to something different if they fight close to me. I am a much better full contact NHB fighter than I am a point fighter. (mainly because I will take a shot to set up something big) I lost to a women once....(nothing against you women so please dont take the wrong way) She kicked me in the top of my leg and got a point but since it was the first year the tournament did co-ed fighting I think the judge was afraid to call certain things. She went on to get first place. Which she should not have had. (again this is not against women, it is true she should not have gotten away with half the stuff she did) Even after the tournament the guy who was holding the tournament told my instructor I should have won and if he was over there he would have changed the call. He saw it on tape and was not to happy with his judges. I fight people I've trained all the time....since I've trained them they tend to fight like me.
  14. I think Ortiz came in the sport at the right time. Nothing against him he trains hard and is a great fighter. Some of his success I believe is because of the rules that have been implied to get the UFC back on TV. Did you know that the UFC has never had a fatal match. Boxing has had some but boxing isnt seen as violent as the UFC. Also the sportsman ship in the UFC is usually much better than in Boxing. (dont get me wrong I like boxing) So why did the networks and congress deam the UFC to violent and not boxing. Also if you are going to the extreme to take all the violence off of TV then you would have to take half the cartoons that are on off. (Take Roadrunner and Wiley Coyote fir instance, all that show is is violence but since it is animated must be it doesnt count) Why take the UFC off when they did? It led to more rules that I think has made it less of an event. Also gears it towards Grapplers. I like Tito I just think he stepped into the Sport at the best time he could. Dont think he would have done as good in the original ones if he was there then. (not that he was old enough) Tito is a very good fighter and I would probably get killed by him. So dont get to upset if you like tito.

  16. Why would the Gov use the BMI standard? Do they think most Americans are lazy? They are making some people feel really bad when they say someone is obese and they are not really (not me I personally dont care)

  19. Did you know that stress is the leading cause of weight gain. People with a lot of stress gain more weight than people with low stress. Stress also causes other health problems. Chronic headaches, Ulsers, sometimes even aching muscles. (if didnt work out and have had a stressful day that is what I mean) Did you know sometimes men gain more weight than women when they are preganant. It is a proven fact that men also gain weight when a women is preganant. So if your wife is preganant then work out twice as hard. (Trust me on this one. I gained over 20 lbs, and my friend gained 15-17. of course he lost the weight.)
  20. Your putting words in my mouth Stop getting so mad if you think you are right. You can think what you like about me...I dont care. I know what I know I have researched things and why would you believe anything I have researched. When you arent even open to the possiblity that money runs more than you think. I dont see any need to prove anything to you. Specially since you are getting so angry and you are putting me down. So say what you like but realize that you dont know everything.

  23. Did you know the average sneeze goes over 200 miles per hour. Yes that is why holding a sneeze back isnt good for you. (Hurts your sinus's)
  24. Take up Tai Chi. Learn meditaion do things to releave any stress. Stay away from mean people and eat healthy food. Running and eating healthy is much better than starving yourself. Check out the Are You Fat? Thread and The Did You Know..? for more health advice that will help.
