I agree that not everybody has the ability to teach. In order to own and be a cheif instructor I think that you should be at least a Black belt. However in my school where I study there are some very good teachers that are not of the black belt rank. Everybody eventually teaches in my style. From Green belt and UP. You know if the person is a good teacher by the fact if the individial is even looks like they have learned something. When I teach I try my best to keep things fun and strict. That is a hard thing to do. I do get it done however. I have respect and loyalty in the dojo Im at because of the way I teach. So in order to have a good sensai I think that you should have been teaching already before you even became a black belt. I still hold to my opinion that a cheif instructor of a dojo should be at least a black belt.

That movie would be under siege. Watch Fire Down Below, On Deadly Ground, The Patriot (make sure you dont get the one with Mel Gibson in it. That is a totally different movie. Although it is also a very good movie. A martial artist cerographed some of the fight scenes with the weapons in that movie.) Under Siege 2, and Glimmer Man are all good. Sit and watch them when you get the chance.

Who is the best actor?
BlueDragon1981 replied to BlueDragon1981's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
I say the best actor with martial arts skill would have to be Michael Jai White. He usually doesnt even do martial arts films. Also he would rather do drama than action films. So in the acting aspect I think he is the best. Although not a bad martial artist in his own rights either. (Has 6 black belts)(Tyson, Spawn, Universal Soilder 2) Jackie Chan is funny and in dramatic roles does not do well. In the comedic roles he is awesome. (Shanhai Noon, Rush Hour). Jet Li likes the acting side also. He however has all that talent and probably would never get a role in a drama because of him being known for his martial arts films. Li isn't in to many American made films. He did not know a word of English when he did Lethal Weapon 4 and now he knows the language pretty damn good for the little time he has been learning the most difficult language there is. That is dedication to his acting in America if you ask me. Watch Kiss of the Dragon and Romeo Must Die Van Damn....he is okay. I like his movies but dont think they are the greatest. I liked kickboxer when I first saw it. Now it is a little to 80s. I still like bloodsport. Bruce Lee....I don't really like any of his movies. I do respect him for who he was in the martial arts. He did put martial arts movies on the map. Dragon is okay. I liked probably 90% of his son Brandon Lees movies. (The Crow is awesome) Chuck Norris is okay too. His acting skill sucked at first...but did get better. He is a well respected martial artist and does have a lot of knowledge. As for his movies I don't like to many of them. (Delta force 2 is okay) Seagals acting I think is higher than most of the martial artists but not at the top. I like almost all his movies. The simple movements and the Aikido in them are awesome. It shows that flash doesnt always have to be it in the martial arts. A lot of his movies have a point to them to. Specially after he got back from Japan in 1999. (or 1998). The Patriot, On Deadly Ground, Fire Down Below all have plots about nature and how humans are destroying it. Those are all also movies that he has helped produce or direct. He ranks high in my opinion. Their are also actors like Larezo Lamas, Adrian Paul....TV actors can be included in this... -
Where do you work? Or if you are still in School what is you

muaythaidm most of the time the fbi takes people with military or police backrounds. To be in the fbi you have to score high on the civil service test and have a four year degree. They prefer the degree to be in law or criminal justice areas. Martial arts trainging would be a plus but not as much as the military training. So to get in the FBI take college courses in something to do with Law. Then maybe go and take your civil service test and apply for a police job. Make yourself have a great record become a detective and then apply for the FBI. I know it sounds tough. Its possible though. Oh yeah they like you to have computer knowledge also. Hope this helps you Muaythaidm. -
Welcome to the forum. It is a good site.

We do have to be a black belt. I have 3 1/2 to 4 years to get it. Im going to college for business so I thought I might as well try to put the too together. I love martial arts and have a passion to teach it. I dont agree with anything below black teaching a school actually. I will not make the dojo if I dont have my belt. Brazilian Jujitsu is a good system but it is so commercialized that a white belt could teach and get money. Sorry that is just my opinion on brazilian jujitsu dont get offended anyone.

I've learned a lot at my current job. Working for a ISP you tend to learn a lot about people and computers. Im going to have a couple classes on web design when in college. (basic java and stuff like that) I hate math also for all you who hate math. (well trig and calculus anyway). All the rest of the subjects never bothered me. Never studied a day in high school. and still graduated with honors. Im proud of that. (just think of what I could of done if I studied, that thought scares me. ) -
I work at a ISP (Internet Service Provider) My favorite subject in school was physical education Going to be going to college this fall. Business Management and Business Information Systems. (I will have 2 associates degrees and 4 certificates by the time Im done) Being in Martial arts I believe has helped me in all things I do.

What was the Best UFC?

Okay take nobody watches the UFC? -
A martial artist in this area killed his girlfriend. Goes to show some people are just messed up. I could never bring myself to kill someone if I was mad. Would only do that if it was self defense. Only would defend myself if I felt someone could actually hurt or kill me and I dont think that. Not to be ****y. Im confident in my skills and have no need to strike with that kind of force. I think he should have gotten a worse sentence also.

I am open to doing any art. Would like to learn Aikido and JuJitsu too.
