Huh, one who doesnt think he knows everything. I think that a good sensai is a firm but sensative person. The individial should be a model person in the community. Not just in the dojo. Also they should want to help their students and not want to make a quick buck. One that is open to new moves and ideas.

Weights can be very dangerous. If done right they can be very helpful. (they always do a little damage to tendons with each lift, but can be minimized with proper technique.) I see a lot of wrong techinque when lifting. That is not what I really am concetrating on here I really just want to know your regiment, and weather or not you do a lot of weight or less weight and more reps.

I study Goshin Jutsu. It is very well rounded. I do want to study many other style but their isn much else in my area. Hapkido, Shotokan, Aikido, Kendo, Silat, and Tai Chi are all styles I would study if they had them around here. I started martial arts when I was ten. It has ever since been a big part of my life. I know for a fact that I would probably have been into drugs and other such items if it werent for the arts. I first joined to learn to "beat someone up". I stayed in it because I found the real value in it. Have only been in one fight and that ended with no injuries on the other persons part because I knew enough to not go to far (since it was in school) It became a big part of my life and my personal code of living. In spare time if i ever have any I research other styles. I believe you should always know what is out there in your particular hobby or art. I now do martial arts for only my own benefit but to help others whom I teach also. Im far from a master but I do not care about even being a master. I just want to learn all I can and pass it down to others and instill some discipline, honesty, and maturity in people and hopefully make a difference.

Do you think that America should meddle in other countries or worry about what is going on over here in its own country? Do you think that the Florida vote was rigged considering Gore was winning then suddenly he wasnt? That seemed kind of odd to me? (they probably took a hint from the movie Blacksheep and had dead people vote, wouldnt put it past Bush) Why is America always helping other countries when they never help America? (we've rebuilt cities that we destroyed in wars and how do most of them repay us. By trying to bring us down.)

Any Hapkido people?
BlueDragon1981 replied to Hapkidodude's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
I havent trianed in it but would like to. -
My response is that things are getting out of hand. You can kill someone with a pencil yet there isnt a big deal about that.

I dont agree that either are stronger. Men are just as mentally strong as women and women can be as physically strong as men. One thing that pains my mind is how women in the millitary get the same amount of points for less. I believe it should all be equal. A man does 80 pushups and recieve 80 points then it should be the same for women. Not she does 50 pushups and recieves 80 points. I have seen women who are physically strong but because they dont believe they can do something they fail. So dont tell me any one sex is stronger than the other in any way. We are all equal in the eyes of god. Just like with race. Humans are humans and it should just be left at that. Women and Men have been caught up on this subject of equality for a long time. Equality will never be achived with anyone thinking they are better in one area than the other. That goes against equality. So my opinion is that it is all in how you prepare yourself and no sex is better than the other. After all the mind is what counts. There are horrible women and horrible men...but also there are great men and great women. In my class it is studied with the men and women together. I see no difference in abilities. Women have better natural flexibility than men and men have better natural strength. That can be balance out by hardwork though. So it is the mind again I say.

Mike Tyson would have been one of the greatest ever if he would have just stayed away after he got out of jail. Now he has discredited himself and will never be considered great (at least in my eyes)

Age and the Martial Arts
BlueDragon1981 replied to three60roundhouse's topic in Instructors and School Owners
I think that a black belt should be at least 15 or 16 at the earliest in age. That is only if they show dedication and a maturity level about their age. I also think that even if the person is not mature at whatever age they should not get a black belt. I believe a black belt should be a model citizen upon recieving a rank of that signifigance. -
I think that just because us martial artists have the discipline to do something other than sit on the couch that we should not be punished for it if some poor idiot decides he wants to pick a fight with us. Sorry man you picked the wrong person should be the response not Your under arest because you are a deadly weapon. A pencil can be a deadly weapon so do we have to register those.

That is a question someone asked me. One simple reason for me. Hard focused strikes. Im also going to try to take up aikido. So for me I want to study shotokan to emerce myself in different style to understand each aspect of the martial arts. My opinion is no one art is better than the other.

BlueDragon1981 replied to BlueDragon1981's topic in General Chat
Hello Please reply if you play or even like the game. It is a very good game. -
Just wondering if anyone has heard of the style I study. It is a form of karate. It is not that old and to my knowledge is only practice widely in PA. So school have surface in Texas and Ohio. I do know that Tatsu-Do founder Soke Cavalier has schools in NY and Ohio. He studied Goshin a long time and then created his own style. Well if you heard of it let me know.

Rednecks arent bad. However George Bush is a pompis a%%. I hate the man. I don't think all that we have done has been just. He needs something to take americans minds off of what he is doing to the American economy. Clinton had no morals as a person but was a good president. He made the American economy flourish. The area I live in less than 100 mile raduis has had over 1500 jobs lost since bush started his presidency. That doesnt count the numerous plants and businesses that are on there way downhill now. Bush is a major problem and I will be surprized if he doesnt drive us to a nuclear war.

I work for an isp and trust me XP has way to many bugs. I like the looks of it but the number of bugs and the things that you can't do to fix it anymore are a major problem. You can't even reset TCP/IP. That really blows for us ISPs. You can actually it is just a long process that isnt really worth the time. Also it doesnt support any games and most printers and other components you have to download drivers of the internet for. It is also made for broadband which out here in the middle of no where we dont even have access to yet........I hate XP :kaioken: :kaioken: :kaioken:

I like stradegy and role playing. Civilation, Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Dungeon Seige, The Sims, and Sim City (any one of them). Age of the Empires, Might and Magic are also good games. Feel free to put games from other platforms on here. (XBOX, gamecube, PS2)
