  3. Some Preservatives are good for you. Genetics play a big part in fitness (although some doctors disagree. What do they know they cant make up their minds. Chacolate is good for you then they say it isnt.....come on) Ohh......and by the way chacolate is good for some people. (just not for the teeth, but that is cause of sugar) To much caffine is bad but to little is also bad. (this one is iffy, dont think they really know) Okay that is all I got for now.

  6. Yeah they do have way to many advertizements for what they charge people a year. Unless they are a low cost magazine (i mean for the advertizing)

  8. I have been healthy pretty much my whole life. I dont take any medicine. (other than maybe an antibiotic) If I get a headache I just deal with it or get someone to give me a massage. I think that natural herbs, teas, are the best ways to go for your health. Also for stress a chiropractor can do wonders. Cracking your back and neck can help with stress and depression. Acupuncture also has some big benefits. (dont worry they have electric pulse acupuncture now, not just the needles) I take natural herbs and vitamins and dont have any problems. The doctors perscribe like 20 pills to my grandma and it doesnt help a bit. Hmmmmm............ I can see some cases in which modern is okay. Extreme cases. Also modern first aid (broken bones ect.) Personally I think we should lay off the medicines. A lot of people dont even need what they are perscribed and a lot of older people are given to much. My opinion is that the earth gives us anything we need to survive. (firm believer that nature has a cure to everything.) Call me what you like but that is what I believe.
  9. KickChick you should be a health teacher (or are you) If I had a printer that worked I would print all your info....but my printer is a peice of !#$@. (Never Buy a Lexmark X73) Did you know that diet pills and other weight reducers make you fat after you quite taking them. Your body gets used to them and after you quite taking them your body doesnt know what to do. Natural actually is better than any other factory made items.
  10. I came up with exactly 0.9 on the waist thing. I had my body fat tested once it was around 7% then (two years ago) Is that good?

  12. I think I have gained more muscle when I dont lift. (of course I lift for endurance and tone. Low weight more reps) My muscles on my arms chest and shoulders are all from pushups....and other arm exercises that I do but I dont know what they are called. I only use weights because I was brought into it by football. I dont lift for bulk though. I always lift for tone and endurance.
  13. I was joking.....I dont drink it anyway so why would I start now.????????????????? Did you know that you need chalestrol. (spelling?). It helps burn some fats. Someone who eats no chalestrol will not burn fat as much as a person who eats the right amount. Ya know what though I dont remember what the correct amount is. Does anyone know? Did you know that one shot of whiskey every two days is good for you but more than one shot is bad for you. Hmm how odd. But it is true.

  16. Thats exactly why I dont like him. His popularity is because Earhardt died. He would be nothing without his dealth. Also he has acted like a real *&^ this year. He had to be warned by nascar to quite with the crap. I wasnt even an Earnhardt fan but I dont like to see so many people profitting from his death. I've liked Marlin since I first started watching racing. Its only this year that he is doing good.
  17. I usually meditate when I get to bummed out. That helps calm things down. Then I work out a bit and read a book. Looking at my kids and playing with them makes me feel better too.
  18. I feel that a lot of black belts are like that. That is why when I looked for a school I watched first to see it there were any like that and the extreme of it. I dont like arrogance. I will never give a black belt to anyone when I start a school who is inmature and arrogant. I will also never give a black belt to anyone under 15 (and that is pushing it)

  20. According to the government standard I am. I am 5' 10" and 206 lbs. I can garentee that Im not fat. I have been lifting since the age of 15. My muscle mass is a lot more than fat content. I have been heathy all my life (the whole 20 years ) and have never had anything said to me by doctors. I must be obese though because the government chart says I am. Does anyone know what they base this on or do they just want people to slim down. It would be unhealthy for me to slim down to much. I gain and lose an average of 5lbs a day depending on what time Im weighed. If you dont believe me look at my pic on my website under the misc section. I think im around 35 pounds over weight according to the government chart.
  21. Me too......I will never drink Coke again. Eating most veggies take more energy to digest than they give you. An apple has more natural sugar in it than some candies. It is still good for you though unlike the candy.
  22. Yep some people have it and some dont. Walking away was cool A couple martial artists of high rank I know have to big of egos. They never admit to anything that gets scored on them. (dont want to look bad I guess)
  23. I can kick pretty high. Above my head. Dont use it though. I rarely even use kicks. (broken to many bones...other peoples that is.
  24. Most of the people around here do it to teach the art. None that I know of do it for the money until you get to the city and even most of them have another job. I used to train 15 hours in a week. Time prevents me from doing that now however. (Lucky if I get 4 hours)
  25. We need 15 katas (might be a couple more my mind is not recalling at this time) Definitions for all lower ranks (over 200 items in the book) Self Defense Against. (Waza) Knife attack Gun Club Straight Punch Roundhouse Wrist Grabs Bearhugs Kicks Choke Holds (some of the above also have different categories.) All together our test runs about 3 to 5 hours. In front of at least 3 2nd dans. (They all have to approve the promotion) There are a couple more things that I forgetting im sure. Anyway that is a quick run through.
