  1. Hi guys just need to share this with you all because i am so excited. My boy Ethan is 2 and 9 months old and he has finally started using the potty. He isn't ready for the toilet yet because i think it frightens him, although he has sat on it without doing anything. One day i was on the phone to my mum and i turned to see him having a wee on his potty i was so excited i just dropped the phone and swooped him up, dancing around and shouting 'yay you big clever boy, well done!'. (I think Ethan thought mummy was going mad) . Mum was still there and i told her, she also told him how clever he was. Ever since then he hasn't looked back, everytime now he uses the potty and he even takes it away to pour down the toilet! Now here's the problems i am facing and was wondering if anyone can offer any advice on this. Firstly he won't do a number two in the potty, he holds it in so long it hurts him and he gets constipated. When he needs to do one he runs in with a nappy to put on him so he can do it. I do refuse this but then i almost always find it on the floor somewhere Second thing is that if he is running around with no underwear on there is no problem what-so-ever about him doing a wee on the potty, but if he has clothes on (without a nappy) he wee's in his clothes! I'm going through lots of washing. I am really, really proud of him for doing it and i still dance around the living cheering and swinging him round (which he seems to enjoy). But if i can get him to realise he has to pull his trousers down before weeing then i have cracked it and he can go to nursery. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys, Kez
  2. My two fingers are taped up and i still train. Sometimes they take a knock and man it hurts...but hey ho thats the way it is, i wont stop training hehe. Good luck i hope you get it taped up...know how you feel!
  3. Oh dear! Although these routines sound great i am defo not a morning person at all. I am the worlds worse to get out of bed let alone do exercise first thing. Maybe i should start making changes might make me feel better during the daytime.
  4. It sounds like your getting things into perspective now, which is good to hear. Talking to an off duty officer will be better, that way it is unofficial, and i take it if they are on your football team they are friends? Which would also make it a little easier. I agree with Jiffy though....a definate bully. I thought that the minute i read your post about him backing down with someone bigger. I was bullied for years by the same group of girls and one day i just snapped and beat one of them up, it was just through pure anger tho not anything that i had to think about. Bullies are normally the insecure one's with their own problems...so remember that. Good luck Kez
  5. I guess zoo's are okayish, i do agree with canoefish though, as long as they are being looked after properly. There is too much animal cruelty in the world today. At the moment in the uk its been a lot around greyhounds, perfectly healthy young dogs being killed or dumped because they can't race anymore.
  6. Kirsty your never on messenger anymore...do you think that could be a reason? Besides it only passes round to your contacts if you have had it yourself, it did come into my conversation box but i was clever and never opened it
  7. Cheers for the link Sohan, they look very interesting but very heavy.
  8. Good luck to you!
  9. There was a family close by to me who have just been in deep trouble by the police and animal protection for keeping over 200 reptiles and exotic animals in a garage. Two of which were dragons that were dead, there were also some dead snakes, rats and other small rodents. To keep an animal like this takes proper research into how to look after and care for these animals, so they can live proper healthy lives. You see far too much poor exotic animals being dumped by their owners through lack of knowledge and then not liking the responsibilities. I do know of people who have kept these animals and have been very responsible, so im not targeting these people, just the ones who are mean and cruel. I myself could never imagine owning such an animal because of the responsibilty. Plus i think i may be a little scared of the animal if it was a snake or some kind of exotic spider . I will stick to my rabbit, cat and goldfish. So the questions are. 1. What pets do you have? 2. Should exotic animals be kept in the home? 3. What are your feelings on this subject?
  10. Not bad? You must have liked it a little bit to have watched it a few times
  11. Whats a kettlebell?
  12. I didnt end up seeing the last few fights, gutted now though cos i did enjoy the ones i did manage to see.
  13. my parents took me and my bother when we were 7 years old. They divorced and we quit but in high school i went back because i was being bullied and needed confidence. I think once someone has had a real taste of it it stays with them forever as it has me.
  14. The final fight scene in bulletproof monk is fab too, very dynamic. Has anyone seen that film? I love it.
  15. I got my lad making me cuppa's and stuff
  16. To be honest i couldn't see myself putting myself through all that pain to make my shins stronger. I think i'll either just put up with the bruises or keep up with my shin pads.
  17. What a lovely thing to say, thank you!
  18. Oh Sohan i love this exercise, we used to do this at a club we used to train in, it's fun and hard work, but a great work out!
  19. well i went to the docs this morning. My knuckle is just slightly splintered and the muscle behind the knuckle has been pulled. My fingers are taped up now, it's making things difficult but at least the pain is less cos i can't move my finger very well. I was told to stay out of training just for a week then i can go back but not sparr cos it will take at least four weeks to heal. Gutted now, i will just have to watch on wednesday night while my son trains.
  20. I think you did the right thing by way of greeting him, i think i would do the same. I think there would have to be certain guidlines though. Like i don't think a student should smoke, swear, or get blind drunk (or whatever) in front of a sensei outside the dojo. Something else i wouldn't do is sociallise with my sensei, i couldnt imagine myself doing that to be honest. But being on friendly terms in the street is ok i think.
  21. Yeah we are bushido i'm miserable now. I'm gonna pop into my docs in the morning because tonight i spoke to a nurse on a help line and she said i may have fractured it. I have a cold compress round it and it's taped up to my other two fingers. Thanks danbong, hopefully that'll be the same for me too. Finger crossed......excuse the pun lol
  22. OOOOOOOO all the fights in jet li's fearless. The final fight in both no retreat, no surrender and american shaolin. I bet i could think of many more.
  23. Tonight at karate i had a bad foot to finger clash. I was blocking with an open hand and the other person kicked my finger and it was agony, the pain shot through my hand. After a few mins i kept going and 10 minutes later i did again on the same finger. I couldn't cycle home properly cos i couldn't pull my brakes. My finger is ok in a set position until i try to move it, i can't straighten it at all because it is too painful. The finger in question is on my left hand, the ring finger. So basically can anyone relate to this? I don't think i have broken it, maybe damaged a tendon or muscle? I don't know what to do with it. Can anyone help with this one? Does anyone know how long i will have to be out of training? Kez
