i'm going to be annoying and say that it depends on what and how you have trained. if you ask the wing chun guy he WILL say hands because that is what he has spent thousands of hours practicing. if you ask the tkd guy he WILL say kicks because that is what he has spent thousands of hours practicing. both parties will also tell you that it depends on what is happening. after all, wing chun people can kick and tkd people can punch.

and if you think we, as martial artists, would fight using things exactly as they are done in forms, then you have so much more to learn.

so the original karate of okinawa was a fusion of okinawan and chinese. which means modern karate as we know it is actually less that 100 yrs old? so what about the native japanese arts? where do they fit into the scheme?

i always thought it was a combination of the aspirin and other drugs he was taking.

y'know, if he's anywhere outside of afghanistan, it'd be in the states. it's a big country with the worst airport security and customs and it's the last place they would look for him. after all, you fools trained him. he knows how your country works.

i'm not a big fan of critics. i don't think i need someone else to tell me if a film is good or not. neither do i like being dictated to about what films i can like.

maybe we should collect all the dumb things he has said and list them in new thread so everyone can see...

well, it might what they call it in pro wrestling but what kinda fool would use that as a guide of valid techniques?

the thing is sano, you seem to think that the wrestling guys are all skilled fighters when the are more like skilled athletes/performers. as warp spider says, they won't be winning on any technical merit, just brute force.

hmm, i always wondered what would happen if you take too many laxatives AND too many anti-diarrhoea tablets...

that's something. if he does downlaod the information, does that mean he "knows" it? or is it just stored in his head? i mean, y'know when they play tapes while people sleep. they ask them questions about the tape and they can't answer BUT they can recite the tape word for word. anyone know know what i mean?

is it me or does everything he say come from pro wrestling, games, the tv and anime?

um, i think it was thai rules where they were wearing gloves but in that one they do aloow hits to head, right?

like i say, it was a long time ago and it wasn't in english so i have no idea what their names are. as for the monkey guy i do know he is based on the chinese monkey god type guy who has a lot of names... (most of which he gave himself)
