just goin through the old threads and judo is a good grappling art. with all kinds of locks, bar, chokes, pins and lots more. bon what did you end up doin?
we might have beaten them but what a crap goal. if the keeper moved his foot 2 inches to the left he would have saved it! i didnt think it was all that great but still plaesed we won.
thanks ti-kwon i know what you mean about emotion controling you. if you get angry or fustrated when your sparring you lose concentration and you get hit.
i had that last saturday me and my friends got started on by some guys. at first i had that kinda fear thing but then i just got so so SO angry. my friend had to hold me back. they were no really threat but i could have knocked all 5 of them to the floor. what do i do if i have that feeling again. i could really hurt them. they had no MA training (but they could run pretty fast!) it says in fight club that most people will do almost anything to avoid a fight. so can any of you help me, what do i do if i get really angry.
when you are introduced to it from the day your born it loses it over time. it sucks to watch but playing aint to bad. glad our contry can bring so much pleasure to people though sport!

well i do contact kickboxing and yeh smashing people is quite fun but you gotta expect to get hit. theres also cardio kickboxing which is just for excersize. i think contact kickboxing would be best as its a good workout and good fighting practice. it helps you learn to block and improves your reactions. plus its damn fun!
i do a modern style jujitsu (small circle) and i think it would be good for self defence. ive never trained in brazilian jujitsu but it is geared more for no holds bared fighting.
i kinda been watching. and yeh US did do well. going on englands performance with sweaden i dont think there goin to even get through. but best of luck people.
we did this exact thing today in jujitsu. you step forward and knife hand the center of the bicep and the center of the forarm. if you get it correct it REALLY hurts. and the harder they punch the more it hurts. this is for a drunken hook punch. hope i could help.
i know i want one. i live in england so our weathers are bad. i should order one from the US or something. thing is im skint right now so i cant only aford light showers with a gentle wind!
