  1. 'Ol "Master" Mark should have been dealt with at his first hissy fit with "Eddy", then the problem would have been solved long ago

  6. The Blauer suit is nice, but the price has gone up the last time I looked into one. There is also the FIST suit, but in my opinion, very bulky. Then you have the RED MAN suit by Macho. They too seem bulky, but lighter than the FIST suit. Every now and then I'd find one on EBay for sale. The unfortunate thing about self defense suits is that they are expensive no matter who you decide to buy. I think for the the best overall mobility, and protection would be the Blauer suit. Good luck
  7. welcome aboard!

  10. Meijin brand gi's are a very good replacement for the more expensive Japanese made ones. I like the fact that they added an underarm gusset in the jacket to allow for more range of motion.
  11. welcome
  12. There is good Kenpo and there is bad Kenpo. Anyone who says it's usless either had a bad experience, is a lousy practicioner, or wants to stir the hornets nest
  13. Hi, welcome aboard!
  14. http://www.limkenpo.net/ would this be too far to go?? Saw the instructor at the 1st Gathering of Eagles, Las Vegas all Kenpo seminar....looked like a competent instructor.
  15. what part of AZ?
  16. I have books on katas, but I prefer to use videos to supplement as well. However, the books help me understand the proper angles with still pictures. Sometimes in the video it is difficult to distinguish angles.
  17. I can only comment on the Juka since I've worn the Gold and Emerald before. The Juka Gold was nice. It makes for a nice 14oz., but was not as roomy as the Juka emerald, which is their 12oz. tournament cut style gi. Probably can't go wrong with either one, it'll just boil down to price perhaps??
  18. Ouch...sorry to hear that
  19. Satori is a good company to deal with. I had my gi made by them, and it's the best one I've owned so far
  20. I was surfin' the other day looking for Kamikazi uniforms, and came across their USA site. However, I just tried to link it, and the link was broken. Maybe a regular google search will get you to the site
