I also liked the Arona/Lister fight, however your average Joe will just look at it and see 2 guys wrestling but he would look at the Cotour/Lidell fight and will clearly understand what is happening

I personaly think that MMA fights are just more interesting than purely stand up fights like K-1 because of all the different aspects of the fight

Unified MMA Championship

I have heard that both Chuck Lidell and Randy Cotour want a piece of Wanderlei Silva, maybe Pride and UFC could do it so that the winner could unify the titles -

BJJ is 1 replied to man thing's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
At my school today there was a police captain training with us (which was awsome because I want to be a police officer) he is a Black Belt in JKD concepts and Kali an also a Blue Belt in BJJ and he told me that he thought the 2 put together were perfect for Police officers -
Amd also K-1 now has MMA events also

You hit that one dead on. -
Yea the more advanced students told me that you would spar against a guy who was say a BJJ guy so you would want to keep the fight on your feet then you go against a guy with a Knife and try to dis arm him the you go against multiple opponents at the sme time, pretty much different scenarios like that

Jeet Kune Do Bruce Lee's commentaries on the martial way (My favorite) Tao of Jeet Kune Do The Gracie Way Striking Thoughts (pretty much Brce Lee's philosophy on everything) As everyone knows Bruce Lee was a great martial artist, but these books focus alot on his philosophy too, which I think is very interesting -

I realy like BJJ but lets face it todays NHB is much different from the days when Royce would walk onto the octogon against like a Karate guy take him down, eaisly take his back down, and choke him, because nobody outside of Brazil knew about BJJ, But today nearly everybody has atleast some training on the ground So in the world of NHB today you cannot rely on one art you have to cross train
