Yeah, I read he was a purple belt also. I have also heard rumors of Chuck going to PRIDE again bad move IMO, its harder to keep the fight standing in a ring v. a cage because you cannot use th ropes for support plus in PRIDE you have world class judo players like Yoshida and Ogawa who con take chuck down and even though he is a purple belt Chuck wont like being on the ground -

His punches come from odd angles and they are hard to see coming in most of his kayo victories they are the phantom haymaker that you dont see coming. What I think makes chuck good is his sprawl ability, or his ability to control wher the fight takes place. -
I think my signature says it all, this was taken from an interview where Royler was talking about being in a fight and getting wedged between 2 parked cars which made grappling difficult.

I'm not sure but I think the fight is at 175lbs which makes it non title. Either way it is the same outcome. we all would like to see the underdog Royce win, but the chances are slim. During the fight, I see this: Hughes takes Royce down, falling in Royces guard where he procedes to work his excelent g&p game while Royce will go for his arm bars, triangles, kimuras, and gulitines from the bottom, which will continue for three rounds with Hughes getting the unanimus decision. UNLESS: Royce catches either a triangle or arm bar from the bottom, Hughes has been known to get caught in these subs before but always used his super human strength to lift up and slam his opponent to get himself free. However with Royce being one of the best at subs maby he has a slim chance and I mean SLIM.

Also a good ground fight

BJJ school
BJJ is 1 replied to Fritz's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
Rodrigo Vaghi has a school in St. Louis, I dont know alot about him other than he is an Black Belt under Rickson Gracie, so he must be an excelent teacher. -
The ground matches that usualy end up boring are the ones wher a striker with little ground game get taken down(usualy in guard) and lay & pray or hold on for dear life untill the ref stands them up. Even if the have wrestling experiance that probably wont have the skills from their back that they need to sweep/submit an opponent. However if you get a ground match involving 2 grapplers like Nick Diaz vs. Karo Perisian it will usualy be exciting because both fighters have the skills needed to defeat the othe on the ground

Yes, we do biting sometimes too. I just have heard through other foroms that he would walk into the rougher parts of town and challenge anyone one to a fight. I have also heard that he has a nice sized rap sheet including drug charges. Now, I also know people can tend to bend the truth abit, that is why I am asking everyones opinion. No matter what I still like his style and Jacks style! -
I know all about the PFS, JKD, and DEFCON, but I want to know about him personaly. The reason I want to know is that he was my instructors instructor. I have heard some crazy stories about him and am wondering what everyone here could tell me. Thanks
