boards dont hit back -
a karate kick snaps at the knee joint. a muai thai kick follows through the target the knee only straightens but doesnt bend again to come back. I belive that hips are the key to this kick i much prefer the karate kick but i would coz i havent trained in muai thai. I do belive that the muai thai kick is more powerful

i dont really think that constantly hitting things help you just gives you arthiritis when you get older being realistic if you hit someone in a specific place they gonna get all portective allowing you to finnish them off. I belive that power isnt as importand as accuracy however the makiwara is very good and realistic so id use that

you only get out what you put in i dont think theres much worng with it although more self defence aspects and some more nunchuku training would be good

you may end up worse but at least you have helped someone out i belive however that you did the right thing dont intervene until someone actually attacks someone else thenyou can help them out or split the fight up however if it was me i would find this difficult coz im quite small and if they where bigger than me well there only so much you can teach about pushing technique and if you dont have the bodyweigth then your still gonna struggle but i still would have tried anyway to help someone
