  9. i know how you feel you feel hard done by because you had to work for your belt yet some people are given it on a plate just becuase of their age this is not right i love the article and nice to see that you can relate to something that it can too shotokan it is really good practice hard and good luck ill give you a tip train alot out of class i have taught myself katas that i dont need till 2nd dan but when i get their ill know where i need to go and learning it will take less time becuase ill know where i am going

  11. i belive that a martial art is diferent to a weapons art but i guess if yoga can count fencing definatly should be in their i love fencing alwyas wanted to take it up but dont know if it is a martial art

  17. probably becuasd ethey arnt practicle in a rwal fight but then again i dont think tha capoaira is practicle in a real fight so its your own opinion
  18. i think the best way to stretch is to just practice kicking higher and higher eventually you will be able to kick very high just make sure you warm up it can be painful if you dont as one day i found that out but it was ok in about 5 min after so no harm done i think

  20. the same as street fighter everything is about practice and the way that you are taught it.
  21. a muai thai kick to the side of the knee cap is extreamly effective aim a bit lower and you may even take them out
  22. try dynamic karate by matetoshi nakayma or the best karate series by the same author(something like that) also tao of jeet kun do is very good
  23. while you are talking bout it could you tell me what Kyokushin is and explain a bit and where exactly are you in the UK
  24. TKD tutor is actually a very good site i do shotokan and it can either be sport orientated or traditional depending on what dojo you are at we do quite a lot of kicking but nothing like the flying and flashy kicks in tkd (in a fight they arnt going to be practicl but in sparing they are i belive karate is more self defence than sport oriantated
