The greatest battle i ever fought
y2_sub replied to kyokushin_coe's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Never give up in your training(discipline) and always show respect to others. Waht about beating your worst enemy ? FEAR -
They usually count a clean kick to the head as a WAZARI (half point ) in the junior or bigenners divisions only , however , in the advanced fighters divisions , such a kick is not counted unless it connected real real hard .

Dif styles/full contact exp needed
y2_sub replied to 40 cent's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
All of the styles mentioned above are point sparring oriented ( except for goju i guess ) , however , they might fight full contact within the walls of dojo . I had the same lack of competition problem before , so I joined kickboxing for a while and fought under their rules , if you are a good kyokushin karate-ka , then you won't find any problem with fighting kickboxers . -
Shin Conditioning!
y2_sub replied to All-Mighty-One's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
Exactly , especially if you are traying to condition your inner shin (more nerves there ) , and your chn is not going to be any harder !!!!! Havy bags are the best way , and if you know the correct method of shin block , it won't hurt that much .. -

Have I failed as a martial artist?
y2_sub replied to parkerlineage's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I don't think you failed ! I think you have done the right thing by beating the other shodan , however , I agree that your instructor should interfere and stopped the fight before the things got out of control I do the same thing if some advanced guy tries to outfight me , just give him a good combo and force him to back off ( or knock him down ) -
61 finally , that game is adictive

Brief history : WADO Ryu is a style of Japanese karate founded in 1939 by Hironori Ohtsuka (also spelled Hironori Otsuka). Wado means “way of peace” and is one of the four major styles of Japanese karate along with Shotokan, Goju Ryu and Shito Ryu. The founder of wado ryu "Master Hironori Ohtsuka " was a student of Shindo Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu , The essence of this art lays emphasis upon the nature and the grace of movement . He also studied some other jujitsu forms focusing on their positive sides , in 1922 he met Gichin Funakoshi Sensei while he was demonstrating his style of okinawan karate , impressed by karate , Ohtsuka joined shotokan , in 1929 started developing his own style of karate which was a combination of Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu and funakushi's karate . Wado students learn to use taisabaki body shifting) to avoid the full force of an attack while at the same time positioning the body for an effective counterattack. thats in brief , i have quoted from this site http://www.wado-ryu-karate.com/#Wado + the little i know . You may want to run a google search

I have been asked to instruct karate in a summer school for 3 month ,two sessions per week , The kids are aged from 7 to 15 . I have no problem with thata since i instruct the junior class in our dojo and i have some experience about dealing with them . Th eproblem is , i probably never gonna c them after 3 month so i am confused , shell i teach them kyokushin basics (pure white belt training ) or some other techniques to defend themsleves in a treet situation ( Mix between kyokushin and Aikido ) . I allready started with them this tuesday and they loved it . REGARDS

What to do if your invited to instruct?
y2_sub replied to ronin.74's topic in Instructors and School Owners
they should be though. Actually, you will probably find that any sport fighting coach worth his salt has competed at some point in time. He may not have been good, but he competed. I personally would not train under a coach who had never competed, if my goal was to compete. Soft instructors produce soft student , i have seen this quote somewhere in KF ....... And i belive in it . -
