Well, my part of the tournament is over. I went there for Kata and Kumite. I bombed the Kata totally. The Kumite was better. I came fourth in BC. I should have come second, but the people I faught got a lot of points they shouldn't have. Oh well, I came back with experience and a medal!

We did all the stuff about Track and field running into our Karate Kumite. We changed our stance to that of a runner. Totally felt the burn.

Well said, I am in full agreement! -
Matsumara Rohai. The best competition kata.

Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 Karate BC is holding the fall provincial tournament at Capilano College. I am pleased to announce that I will be competing in the 14-15 year old 70kg+ Advanced/Black Belt Divison and 14-15 year old advanced/black belt Kata. I don't think I will win Kata, but I have a chance at Kumite. Wish me luck!

I try to learn kata outside the dojo. I always screw up during presentation though. I have to do some kata for a tournament coming up.

No Kidding! My teacher invited me to the Advanced Class. I thought I was getting good. I asked him why I was just on the bag. He said "well, you haven't paid for this class!" after he said, don't pay, you're invited. I quit right on the spot. I like my new teacher. He actually brings some sport into Karate. -

The reason I quit Kickboxing is that my teacher gave up on me. He just put me on the bag and taught everyone else all the stuff. I got fed up with it. -
Anyone can trace you just going on the internet. This list is pretty much crap. Hell, I have had some of these things, I haven't killed anyone thus far. What they hell? I am a kid, I know kids like this who are honour students, I know druggies like this, everyone has something on that list.

Slim is right, you could only generate enough power from the back. You could fake the front leg, and then follow up with something else.

I am a dragon, my friend is a tiger. She is in the same Air Cadet squadron, that is actually our callsigns.

Keiagi was spelled right! Keep working hard, it will come soon enough!

Enough! You have proved your point. If you have a problem, lodge a complaint. You are correct in the fact that it was unwise to do this in public. I do not mind one post, that is fine. I will not delete them, nor will I recommend it. If you would like to lodge a formal complain, do so in accordance with regulations. Message Pat, or any other Moderator. If you do not wish to proceed any further, I would ask you to stop posting on the subject. I will not close the topic, because others may still want to discuss. For now, this is over.

Uraken and Ushiro Geri. Damn that looks tough. I hope I can work on that one. What leg and what hand do you use? -

That's cool. I used to take Kickboxing when I was younger, but I quit later on and moved onto Karate. -
I am impressed by the way you have critiqued yourself. You will very rarely find a studend who will do that. I shall help you out on the spelling. Agi-uke, Mae Geri, and Mawakte. I felt the same way after I got my brown belt. I kept feeling like I kept making mistakes and feeling awkward demonstrating. Then I talked with my Sensei and Sempai and they told me I was not making more mistakes, they were polishing me up. Karate is like taking a piece of coal, then polishing it until you get that diamond inside. That is why Karate-Do is a lifetime study. Do not feel bad, it will get better.
