  1. We have puzzle mats, but they're not very soft. My instructor switched after training in Australia (the instructor there had this kind of mat) He says it's better for your body. The only problem most people have is jamming their toes. I saw one of our black belts face plant because his toe got caught.
  2. Hi Welcome to KF.
  3. Ditto. That's pretty smooth, how confident you were, from telling him you didn't have any money to give to him to getting him away from you. Sounds like something a character in a Clive Cussler/Tom Clancy/Robert Ludlum novel would say.
  4. Congrats to you!
  5. welcome to KF, go shotokan!
  6. welcome to KF, yay shotokan!
  7. I knew someone would say that! Thanks for the congrats.
  8. Got my driver's permit yesterday (a bit late). Just wondering if anyone else got their permit/ license lately. Also, when you took the permit test, did they give you back the test afterwards? The guy who corrected mine didn't even show me how many I missed, or return it to me. I guess they don't want people showing the tests to friends or something.
  9. Hello, Weocome to KF Jason.
  10. Looks like a good workout. I've seen that before. Too bad I don't have a pool.
  11. So, can you kick my butt? My response to the next person who asks me that: Sure, turn around.
  12. That sounds pretty cool. I've kind of invented my own weapons- one is a baton that's wielded like a knight stick, the other: I was playing around with my Kali training knife last night and I took a string and made a lanyard that goes on the wrist. This way, it's like a yo-yo. You can flip it out to slash or stab and it usually returns to ice-pick position.
  13. I have an old bayonet that has a case and looks like a sword. We tried using a knife sharpener, it didn't work too well. If you use a knife sharpener, you're going to have to grind away at it for a while. Your best bet would be to go to a sword supply store or something like that and ask their advice specifically about your broadsword. Good luck
  14. I remember hearing someone at a tournament- Boo-mee!
  15. How do I know if an excercise is placing more stress on one side than the other? And what different excercise should I do?
  16. Brandon Fisher- Just curious about your style- does it have grappling as well?
  17. LOL... Is it really the muscles overlapping or was that just your idea? I would really like to level both sides off, the right side is about a centimeter and a half higher than the left. Any ideas?
  18. I'll go with: https://www.karateforums.com https://www.karatedepot.com video.google.com
  19. Happy birthday, Sorry to hear your so busy on your b-day. Good luck
  20. Please excuse the randomness of this post. I've had a six-pack for a while, but the right side is shifted slightly higher that the left side is. It hasn't been terribly noticeable until I started using an ab wheel- the right side is much higher now. How can I make it straight or level? I'm right handed so I'm assuming I'm somehow using the right side of my stomach more than the left. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  21. LOL. I agree that it was a bit fast. Anyone know where online you can see the post fight press conference?
  22. Just curious, does anyone think Herb Dean stopped the match too soon?
  23. I'm sorry to hear that, especially for your son. That must have been terrible for him to find Toes. Please acept my sympathies.
  24. Wow, you're pro. Ditto about your record.
  25. Welcome to KF, enjoy the forums.
