  1. http://www.karatedepot.com/pr-pu-12.html Thinking about buying these gloves, but I'm not sure what size to buy. There's small, medium, large, and x-large. Is there a way to measure and decide which size to get? Thanks
  2. I hate hearing people refer to karate as TKD, or vice-versa.
  3. I wish I could paint and draw... I play guitar, some ukulele, piano, and clarinet, and the instruments like harmonica and recorder. My main artsy thing is videos... I like editing hi-lite videos of tournaments and stuff. Besides that, my other "art" is martial.
  4. I like Switchfoot, Jeff Beck, and the people like Clapton and Hendrix, but I love classical guitar.
  5. I want to meet IsshinRyu5toforever. I've had a lot of talks with him on aim, but I've never met him.
  6. My dojo has one... I'll send the link when I find it. Some of the videos on it were done by me.
  7. Just curious to see what kind of gloves you guys prefer
  8. Glad to hear you replaced it... what model is it and where did you get it from?
  9. How effective is a scorpion kick? -to hit with that, you have to be a lot closer than a regular kick, and if you're in that close, why not use the knee? -if you get in that close, you can get hit and/or taken down before you even execute it That being said, that is an awesome looking kick which takes more flexibility than I would ever have. It looks like only a skilled, flexible person can do that.
  10. Look into Fry's if there's one nearby. I saw an MP3 for $50 that holds 1 gb.
  11. ditto I take it you didn't get hurt at all? Just out of curiousity, how did you get to be a bouncer?
  12. Two (or more) ball dodge ball... teaches awareness. It's the funniest thing to see a kid concentrating so hard on one ball and get hit from behind. Another good thing is relay races (teaches teamwork, but can be used to strengthen their bodies) Can't think of any other ones right now.
  13. I started a club because I wanted the experience, and I wanted to pass Shotokan on to other people.
  14. I'll add... it's really fun. There's a loud pop and a bright flash, and the gun jumps.
  15. Try https://www.knifeworks.com Very reliable, quick shipping, good prices, excellent selection.
  16. Welcome to KF... it's a great forum and you'll benefit from other peoples knowledge
  17. THat's quite a #... thanks for the great website.
  18. My dad always used to scare me by telling me about the tengu.
  19. Menjo-I agree with you, I saw some good throws, but I didn't really like what I saw.
  20. I used to do archery, but I broke my bow. I was just an amatuer, doing for fun, with a few friends.
  21. Welcome to the club, LOL. Seriously, I suggest you sit down and talk to her. Discuss the benefits, how much you enjoy it, etc. Good Luck!
  22. My firend didn't want me to delete something on his phone so he put it in his pants, on a certain part of the male anatomy. I deleted it anyway and afterwards, he said he has herpes and I might get it. I'm pretty sure he was lying about that but I wanted to know if it was possible to get herpes from touching his phone or his hand.
  23. The first time I shot a 9mm, it scared the living daylights out of me. It practically jumped out of my hand. It's difficult because you push down before you pull the trigger because you know the gun will jump and then you're off target. .22 pistols are pretty easy.
  24. Also called escrima or kali
