  9. about 7 I guess, and I'm not really sure how serious it is. He has control of himself, it's hard to say how bad it is.
  10. I'm glad that helped. Yes, the training does seem to vanish when you get in the ring. Just try to ignore the crowd and people, don't think about them. Think it's just like a regular sparring session at your dojo. And don't worry, that happens to a lot of people. Don't try to plan everything out, your body will react when the time comes. Just stay relaxed, and practice a lot now so that your training will come easily when you're in the ring.
  11. We try to treat him normally, but he often wont listen to directions and will loudly complain. We can't treat him like a normal person if he wont act that way.
  12. Just train hard. Work on speed, timing, good technique, and how to cover when attacking. Be confident in yourself. When you get out in the ring, be sure of yourself. Other than training, it's all about the attitude. be confident, but don't get too comfortable. Learn some strategies from a sempai, and practice them so that it become very easy to use. Ask your instructor, because he can help you most, as he knows you and how you perform.
  13. First of all, good luck to you. You said you're not afraid to get beaten or embarrassed. So just get out there and do your best. It's good to be a bit nervous. You always see the champion racehorse pace before the race. Just get out there and do your best!
  14. Why do you ask? I don't see how you would be able to beat a sumo wrestler if you weren't big.
  15. about 35 a month. I get a discount because I help teach. Our school is a little bit more expensive than most of the other schools in town, but everybody's heard the saying you get what you pay for.
  16. I am an assistant instructor at my dojo, and in one of the classes, we have a child who has a mental handicap. He complains about how stretching and doing stances hurt. He will say, "This huuuuuuuurts!" and he wont sit properly during seiza, fidgets, complains, and frequently will not listen to instructions. While some of this is not his fault (short attention spam, etc.), what should he be held responsible for doing? How hard should I be on him?
  17. I got the Bourne Supremacy as a gift from my sister, and she showed me today that they're going to come out with a third one, the Bourne Ultimatum in 2007! Anyone know what this is about, since they aren't following the books?
