  1. Thank you tyrant general
  2. Yes, I think it's okay, if they have shown they meet the requirements. Whatever rank they stop going beyond what is required of them, and are just doing it right. To skip, you should be better than just doing it right.
  3. Good luck to you, I tested for shodan a little more than a year ago. Good to see that you're not nervous. Don't be, if you have come this far, you'll make it. GOOD LUCK!
  4. Welcome to KF, enjoy!
  5. Welcome to KF!!!!
  6. Hahaha, Sam that was pretty funny
  7. Question one- What does vitamin C do for you? Question two- What are the benefits of using a jump rope to train? I know it increases stamina and improves timing. Anything else? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi- I started using handwraps and I'm not sure exactly how they're supposed to be used... I wrap them around my hands, but I'm not sure how high up the fingers they should be and how low down the arm they should be. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  9. DIdn't mean to get a whole discussion started about kg to pounds. Lol
  10. Yes, it ought to be.. I found two conversions from kg to pounds. One said 1kg=2 pounds and the other 1kg=2,2 pounds... They are cheap but the editions are usually quite old... Sorry, I meant the money.
  11. RaidenTB- Is that the American equivalent
  12. Used book stores are so awesome! A local one gives you a big cardboard box and for $24.95, you can fill the whole thing up. I got something like 53 books, including textbooks, dictionaries, atlasses, and paperbacks. Just had to share with you sorry if this is totally random!
  13. Thank you for your responses. I was wondering how most of you would handle it.
  14. Consider the following: You are in your car driving when you see a large male choking a female. You stop your car and grab your trusty Gerber 3 inch blade from your back pocket. You prepare to make a horizontal cut across his throat. Suddenly, you stop to think. You don't want to kill anybody, even this man in front of you. Where would you stab or slash to stop him but not kill him?

  17. Lol SaiFightsMS TKD guy- there's already a thread on this same subject in this section.
  18. Good luck with it and have fun... that is one good looking weapon.
  19. Try Martial arts warehouse... there's a link on this website... I think it's https://www.mawarehouse.com
  20. I personally would go with the Sog because it is a little bit smaller and my pockets aren't huge, but if you have no problem carrying around 6.5 inches, go with the Camillus. (then again, the SOG isn't that much smaller)
  21. I personally would go with the Benchmade Skirmish. It looks a lot more "ccol" but if your buying it for self defense, if you try to stab with the spyderco civilian, there's a chance that, because of the curve of the point, you could end up sliding off. The spyderdo might be hard to make a slash and bring back for a second strike. The Benchmade will probably be easier to slash with and pull back for a second attack. Hope I helped and made sense. The Spyderco could also be more difficult and awkward to carry. Good luck!
  22. She already said, "that's OK, it's part of what happens when we do what we do". Stop feeling bad about it. Things like that happen, and I'm sure everyone knows that it was an accident.
  23. I used to use neko ashi datchi during kumite, I would wait in neko ashi and wait for them to get in range, then nail them with a kizami maegeri, but people in my kumite divisions are too fast for that now. My front foot is usually barely touching, nearly all of the weight on the back leg.
  24. I have not seen or heard about it, but it sounds like an awesome experience.
