  1. Yes, Yoda is awesome, especially the way he gets the clones who try to kill him. I think he learned Iaido, LOL.
  2. I have been playing around with nunchaku that are way to big for me (my father got them from a 6 foot kung fu expert) but I know somebody who can make me a pair of nunchaku. How does one get the dimensions for a perfectly sized nunchaku? Is there a way, or whatever feels good? Also, I want to ask the same guy to teach me. How do I measure how good someone is with nunchaku?
  3. It's pretty good, but it's kinda sad when you think about it... But the music does a good job putting you in the sad mood when they're shooting all the jedi.
  4. Well, I'm "graduating" from jr. high on June 16th.
  5. Jackie Robinson gets mine
  6. I have no idea what base it is. And anyway, karate means empty hand.
  7. If you're just learning it for your own pleasure, it doesn't matter as long as you feel that it is powerful and effective. True, you won't learn the perfect way to hold the weapon, and it will be a bit clumsy against someone who knows what they're doing but if you just want to learn for fun, try books and making stuff up. It is true that you will develop habits that experienced people will think are bad, but you're doing it for fun right?
  8. Well, I learned Fukuno (spelling?) but have forgotten it and would like a review.
  9. Hi G95champ I am as high as a 14 year old can be at my dojo, JR. Shodan. My dojo doesn't allow you to advance past Jr Shodan until you're 16. Then you test for shodan (regular) My aim screen name is JoeySti
  10. Does anyone know a site that one could learn bo kata from? Thanks in advance.
  11. Well, it's okay to have fear. A shihan from Japan told me you must have some fear. That being said, my personal advice to you is to relax you shoulders so you can move. If you're worried about getting hit, I'll tell you now you will get hit. Just keep moving around and some advice from someone I know, "Hit them and don't get hit."
  12. mah- kee- wah- ra
  13. Just watch how everyone else dances. That's how I did danced at my first dance.
  14. I will be competing at a tournament tomorrow and I would like to hear your last minute tips for sparring.
  15. Full contact for us just means knuckle pads, cup, sometimes mouthpiece, and "full contact" (hit hard)
  16. Toyo gi... I got it custom made for me for free because of an attendance record. I think it's really expensive ($100+) but it's good quality. It had a bluish tint to it. I give the Toyo a 9.9/10. (NO gi is perfect)
  17. pads for what part of the body?
  18. How do you score and win and how do you pronounce Muay Thai?
  19. Just a question, does one wear a cup when they do this? I was watching a muay thai match and they do the knees to the body so I wanted to know if they had cups.

  21. I would try to get the arm and twist it behind his back. Now I am behind him. If he manages to overpower me or I lose control, I will try to drop him with a kick between the legs from behind and then a knee to the thigh and then a kick to the back of the knee and run or kick him in the head.
