  1. Pulldowns Barbell Rows Hack-squats Legpresses Please explain these step-by-step! thanks in advance
  2. I shall watch my blonde jokes from now-on then Favourite move of mine, hmm thats a toughy. At my early stage of being in the martial arts my favourite move I can do is either the spinning hook kick or the slipstep sidekick.
  3. Oh my god... I came home from school yesterday and my mum asked if I've heard the news. I said what news before looking over to the TV on CNN... I swear I almost fell over then. I was hoping it was all just a dream and I would awake, but it was, it is, reality. I can not even begin to think what the poor families of those lost are going through and of the terror those poor innocent people went through, but I send my very best wishes to all those injured, and those lost's families. Take care people and live every day to its max, this just shows you can never be sure when life will just blink out...
  4. Thanks for the quick fix, Patrick
  5. Me and a good friend of mine are going to do something along the lines of what you suggested a while ago... We are both getting cheap gym memberhship, we will go on the exercise bikes and rowing machines for a while, then go outdoors onto the grass and just practice fighting together for ages. Not just a martial art, he does none he just practices boxing and stuff at home I do Tae Kwon-Do... we're just gonna fight and think ideas on how to help, think up techniques on what to do if someone gets you in certain positions then practice them to hell and back, so on and so forth, always improving, and getting used to being hit and all this... good down to earth combat training! How does this sound to the two ppl I mentioned in the topic? [ This Message was edited by: Patrick on 2001-09-06 13:28 ]
  6. LOL yeah, thanks for the help
  7. I remember Jason Hun mentioned some E/C/A stack that would reduce muscle loss when running, I was just wondering if there were any natural alternatives so when I run I do not cannibalize muscle... for example would simply eating a bit more protein before/after a run help or what? Advice here nutricianists please
  8. Kickchick... you could pass to be in your twenties!
  9. Hehe my bedroom is teeny and there are no other rooms - it's so very annoying!
  10. A friendly bump up - any replies please
  11. the more muscle you have, the more mitochondria(in muscle) you have to burn fat--you will also secrete more testosterone and growth hormone--important for "youth" and fitness. On the other hand, higher fat levels are correlated with lower levels of testosterone Aren't I a clever boy? Well... actually no I got it off the site
  12. Well, that's 1 sorted... From tonight I'm back with Jen!
  13. You could just practice in the Karate or TKD, or just practice what you have already learnt since in a real fight it is just using the basics well that really helps... Sorry, just blabbering... 5-1!!!
  14. Yes but it could also damage and stunt growth.. you're fine you're 6'2", but I'm 5'6" and I am growing quite quickly at the moment.
  15. LoL, I am 14 and only 5'6"... damn you tall people. I am taking the advice Ken gave but instead of as much as I can lift, a bit less. I am really using my will power to push through on the last set so I guess I'm getting somewhere
  16. http://www.geocities.com/hotsprings/2894/ Go to that link there is lots of explained there. I think you need both - Muscles create a certain hormone which help use energy instead of store it or something, very complicated but the 'straight damn truth' on that sight, I suggest you read as much as you can it is fascinating reading and should answer your question. (Thx to Kickchick for the URL)

  19. OK this is the third time writing this message due to forgetting to put my password in so having to hit back button and finding everything erased, so be nice for I am really quite annoyed now *deep breath* Basically, I need someone to explain step-by-step each of the following exercises: Pulldowns Barbell Rows Hack-squats Legpresses and also, Ken, in the workout you suggested, would lifting as much as I could stunt my growth? I really would not want that of course Now then, other problems... My abs are badly badly badly and I mean BADLY wrong! They are so wrong... allow me to explain. All the abs on the left are fine sized, but on the right... the top right ab is smaller and the middle right ab is bigger! It's badly wrong is there any way other than surgery or something I might be able to make this at all better? And secondly, thanks to growing pains, my knees gets really painful when Running/Starjumps or anything using the knees so I would appreciate some good cardio exercises that dont involve use of the legs. I am in bad bad need of help here guys
  20. *eyes Kickchick and rushman* I'm always sore after workouts even with stretching, so I'll try all the above stuff too

Sometimes our fates are decided and not chosen... I wish all the best to her family and friends in this hard time and hope she may rest in peace.
  22. I am waiting before I start crosstraining though, I would like to be reasnobly proficient at my kicks so I can mainly focus on the grappling, doing both at once especially in my soon to be busy schedule would be less efficient in the long run.
  23. There are 3 one-meggers and 3 five-meggers I have ADSL though, just give me a place I can upload them to
