Also, remember the different types of flexibility: Static, passive, and active. Just because you can nearly do the splits does not mean you will be able to perform a quick high kick!

Clip of TDK vs. Muay Thai
Jack replied to Slim's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
Hmm, this TKD practicioner and definitely been practicing the sport version, going for all those flashy kicks and not enough hand techniques. This is why TKD gets bad press, through these people training for sport. -
Thanks again, I've been really training hard for it, I think I might take some time off now, especially now that I've found out that my darling cat is really ill, breathing problems, and may not live to see next week

It all depends on how young these children are, if they're really young they'll love the witch thing, but if a bit older, then they probably started worrying about "cool" and they'll think the witch is "lame" Don't get me wrong, its a good idea, just the audience could receive it in other ways than you'd expect

Moobrack, you may have been going overboard I'm eating a bit more its doing me well, mabye you've shocked your system more than it can cope with? Well, best of luck with your training

The Big Question: Why Do You Do Martial Arts?
Jack replied to Sutton_uk's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
1) Fitness 2) Flexibility 3) Self-Esteem 4) Ability to protect myself and others 5) Meet new people 6) I am fascinated by the rich cultures of these far eastern lands, I'm pretty sure I would read a lot about them even if I did not do Martial Arts. -

Best Martial Arts for me?
Jack replied to dethfire's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
Yep, Grappling and the like is very good with arm locks, wrist locks, other locks, chokes, takedowns, etc. Would suit your 'good body manipulation' skills pretty well -
lol, which Jack do you mean? This could become confusing
-
Kicker, yes, lowfat... Basically you're eating more, but eating more of the healthy stuff. So if you do weights, then more of the protein from this goes to help you gain more weight in muscle after working out. However, some will be left to gain as fat. If you really want to gain lot of weight in fat, you should reconsider

Wahey, another Jack on the forums Welcome, I hope you have a pleasent stay here
