  1. I played this game once before. It felt endless...
  2. Hey, CompactDinnerFork, relax! Someone will come along; you have to let some time go by for people to respond. Try not to clog up your own threads just to try and increase your number of posts.
  3. 94%. That scared the crap out of me.
  4. He he. How about you start using side kicks, and I'll use shutos!
  5. That's really creepy!!! But it would definitely help if you were to ever be in a situation similar to that from the movie, "Silence of the Lambs."
  6. Oh, here's a question! Has anyone tried doing kata with the lights off or eyes closed? It's scary.
  7. LOL. Thanks.
  8. How does this so-called "unbendable arm" technique work? I know it has something to do with ki, and I know that it is possible to experience. Has anyone done this?
  9. Hey, if I didn't go to the dojo, I'd most likely be insane. The heck with what those "others" think! And Corpand, I do that all the time. Stop copying me!
  10. He he. You do have a point there. One should rely more on technique than on a hunk of plastic/rubber/whatever for protection.
  11. I find it challenging but great for your muscles. TIP: If performing shutos, don't open your hands; just pretend.
  12. LOL! I'll agree.
  13. Vertigo, could it be the infamous "freshman fifteen," where you gain 15 pounds the first year due to--I think--altered or poor eating habits?
  14. This sounds impossible, sorry. *flinch* Ow.... Could you imagine? "Hey, everyone, check this out!" *get into push-up position* "One..!" CRUNCH!!!
  15. I love Coca Cola, but each can contains 18 cubes of sugar, so I tend to drink in extreme moderation. Diabetes in a can!
  16. Ever try practicing a kata (slowly!) while holding dumbells (small ones, not the 50-pound ones )? If so, what do you think about it? Did it help with technique or strengthening at all?
  17. Nothing yet, but whatever I'll get when I'm an orange belt will have to protect my braces, should I not get them removed tomorrow.
  18. Macs forever!!! I own an eMac (G4). It's quite good!
  19. Although I haven't been in an abusive relationship, I have gone through a break-up (and a half, if you want to get technical). It's difficult, but definitely survivable. The best advice I can give you is to put distance between you two right now. I think it will be easier to get you over the worst of the after-effects of the split. I hope that you have a bit more closure after your chat last night, but be careful and wary, for if he was able to abuse you while you were together, it's more than likely he'll try and do the same to convince you to get back together with him, if that's what he wants. I'm not sure if you'll find this helpful, but if you need to chat more, feel free to pm me anytime! Be strong, you're not alone.
  20. LOL!!! Awww. I can just picture that. It looks cute in my head.
  21. *sweat* Oh, man... I'm becoming guiltier and guiltier of more of these with each passing day. My latest: I asked a friend from the dojo *coughCorpandcough* to teach me my next kata even though I'm not even that belt yet, and I've already memorized the moves after 2 days of practice. Hmm... Freddy... I like that idea of using shuto uke to open doors... I should try that. I've been using side kicks to do so.
  22. Aaaaaggggghhhhh! Eww! Something about that is just wrong! Shorinryu Sensei, good one, by the way.
  23. Hello, and welcome!
  24. LOL! Hey, Patrick, that was great! You should paint another one!
  25. Yeah, that bus thing... I also do it on the subway. The way I do it now, though, is by sinking into a slight horse stance. I've heard that it's the most stable stance. And Jax_Evolution, another way to order pizza is by giving them your order, and when they repeat it back to you, say no and change one thing. Continue this when they repeat again, and do it again, and again, and... I wouldn't recommend it, of course, but I just think it's clever.
