Yes, it IS a good combination, just keep in mind this... train Judo with and without the GI. try to flow from punching to clinching to throwing to grappling. Remeber to do a hardcore training in NeWaza (groundfighting( techniques.. Most of Judo school focus on Gi Throwing. also, try to learn a couple of set up low kicks just in case you are too far for punching.. closing the distance kicks. Other arts that can be usefull with boxing too.. wrestling, freestyle and greco, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Sambo, Submission Wrestling...
