  1. I find it very useful to ask the person I just sparred with what they saw. Also sparring with a more experinced fighter and ask them before you start to help you with telegraphing.
  2. I would check the departments policy on RNC, a lot of deparments don't allow any type of chokes unless deadly force is justified. It may be hard to defend your self in court if you choke someone out while in a dominate postion ie on the back.
  3. I believe in all things in moderation (including moderation)
  4. I've also seen another video on the web were it was used in a MMA match. It was just brutal
  5. I was taught that you look down when you bow to people whom you trust completely because you are bearing your neck showing your trust. Everyone else you keep your eyes on.

  10. Even if he didn't roll and did the face plant he would still be caught in the same arm bar
  11. I guess I'll find out the 28th
  12. I agree that you did the right thing. I would have to think there was something wrong with you if you were not a litte apprehenisive in the situation. Nature gave us gut feeling about things for a reason.
  13. You can also use your hip bone not you groin as the fulcrum
  14. Hughes may get a ko but there is no way he's getting the rnc
  15. I'd have to say Sonny Hughes. He really know how to twist a human body in new and interesting ways.
  16. With a good "blood" choke some people usually beginners don't know they are in danger of going out until things start to go black.
  17. " Sometimes it is a good day to die and sometimes it's a good day to have breakfast." Thomas, Smoke Signals
  18. At our school the younger kids do "hop fighting". Two kids get on the mat. They each grab a hold of a towel with one hand. They then stand on one foot. The other foot they bend up behind them and grab with the free hand. They then hop up and down and try to pull the towel away from their oppenent. If they fall down, put their foot down, or lose the towel they lose.
  19. I ve heard that some churches that have gyms or large gathering halls are willing to rent them out on off nights
  20. In my law enforcemet career I have worked with several trained police dogs and you are making a dangerous generalization about trained bite dogs. I agree that trained bite dogs are a lot like trained fighters, but like trained fighters they are not all the same. Some dogs are rookies and may not be used to someone fighting back. They may quit, but they may not. In fact have have seen green dogs go berserk on their target when attacked. Some are gnarled old veterans and it doesn't matter what you do they will stay in a fight until they die or they are called off. Some are trained hard and some are soft. I would also remind you that in most states it is a serious crime to assault a police dog.
