This is a match of Hee Tae Hwang vs. Izumi Hiroshi

Can someone please watch this and explain why Hee Tae Hwang got hansoku?

My guess is that there was a rules violation in there somewhere. I don't think there is supposed to be any breaking in judo, just gradual application until the opponent taps out.

Yeah it looks like an intentional break to me.

I've also seen another video on the web were it was used in a MMA match. It was just brutal

A computer beat me in a game of chess once but it was no match for me in a kickboxing match

Yeah, it's an amazingly effective form of takedown. In all the USJJF competitions I've been in it was illegal because...well you saw why.

A lot of BJJ guys, submission/no gi guys, and MMA guys know this move but you don't see it much in MMA because most people in MMA are actually good sports to some degree. This Korean guy was a jerk, and to add to that he wouldn't even shake the Japanese guy's hand.

I nominate him for jerk of the year.
