  1. If nothing else squeeze some lemon in the water to give it a little taste. And a lot of those juices have just as much sugar added as soda pop. Same goes for the sport drinks.
  2. Nope. The MOABs weigh 21 kips. The US dropped the bunker busters.
  3. Judging by your name you must like the lead sleds. Sweet. Are you a purist or are you a gearhead?
  4. Here is the address to the pinhead. http://www.michaelmoore.com/ Too bad there wasn't a way to send this pile of (use your imagination) to France or Germany, forever!
  5. Ah, there's nothing like starting off your first post with a few jokes to loosen up the audience, right? Please say hi in the introduction section if you haven't already done so. And welcome to the Forums.
  6. A pirate walks into a bar ... A pirate walks into a bar with a peg leg, a parrot on his shoulder, and a steering wheel on his pants. The bartender says, "hey, you've got a steering wheel on your pants." The pirate says, "Arrrr, I know. It's driving me nuts."
  7. When you mean sprawl, are you talking about spreading your feet wide as if you were going to walk over around a big pile of dog crap?
  8. Ok, I've heard quite a bit in the arguements between BJJ and the other styles, but have one question remaining. What is the best defensive actions to take when someone is about to shoot in and take a person off their feet?
  9. That jerk (Moore) lives about five miles away from me during the summer. Some people have placed signs in his yard this week telling him to go pound sand up his rearend. If you would like to see how ignorant he really is, visit his website. He has a letter posted on the homepage addressed to the president. I can't wait to see this guy this summer. His ears will be burning after I get done with him.
  10. Sounds like you should be making between 28-35K (or more) base salary depending on the area you live in. Insurance and retirement is a diff story. If that place doesn't offer a health plan than you might want more money to offset what it would cost to purchase a plan on an individual basis which is way expensive. Profit sharing can be one of my least favorite sources of saving for retirement. It just plain sucks unless your dojo is knocking down major money and the owner is willing to part with it. You never know how much they will be giving you from year to year. It's better to have them match dollar for dollar 401K. If nothing else you can open a Roth IRA thru your bank or credit union.
  11. I wish I had you for a doctor! Everytime I go to the doctor with an injury (about twice a year) they just tell me to ice it and take some Motrin. I have friends that get a paper cut and they get massages and painkillers, but not Steve...oh no, not him. If he's been putting up with the pain for the past week he can't be that bad off heh heh heh! Hell, I didn't even go to the doctor for my rib and shoulder sprain last month. Instead I went to my chiropractor ( I trust him more) to have him make sure I didn't do too much damage. You know what he told me? Take some Motrin and ice it. I give up.
  12. I'm for it even more now. And I don't care what the nitwits in Hollywood or other countries think of us. They can go pee on a spark plug.
  13. About three years in Kuk Sool Won. Testing for red belt at end of the month. I guess KSW is my favorite right now. Hey G95, You got a small needle! hahahahaha (sorry man, couldn't resist)
  14. Kick of Smart Ass? Don't you mean King? That's already been taken here. That's probably why you need to take up weapons. Your mouth is getting you in too much trouble! (I'm not giving up the throne, newbie!)
  15. I have a friend who has his whole arm done and he spaced out the visits over a few months. He didn't have it all done the same day. That's kinda unrealistic and painful.
  16. Quit your crying and knit.
  17. Yes, the restrictions on firearms are not standardized at the federal level for carrying handguns. States are left to decide what they feel is prudent. I share the same opinion of our federal courts recently as far as who is responsible for the end result of firearm felonies. If someone were to steal (which is how most felons obtain weapons) a thousand kilos of garden fertilizer and a thousand liters of fuel oil to make a bomb, would you prosecute the manufacturers of those products also? Of course not. The problem in society today is that nobody is held accountable for their actions.
  18. Even mechanical pencils?
  19. Hmm...that's very tempting. I'll have to call our Congress and have that put on our to-do list.
  20. Does anyone remember the boatload of missles that the US held off the Persian Gulf? That came from N Korea. Those were brand new. And as far as oil goes, the US gets most of it's oil from Canada, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Mexico, in that order. Yes, my friends, Canada is the largest importer of oil to the US. The province of Aberta is bursting with hydrocarbons waiting to be consumed by my Chevy Vortec engine.
  21. Azure has a good point. Just because someone has quit their dojo doesn't mean they have quit altogether. After all, how many times has your instructor told you to practice something on your own at home?
  22. You are sadly mistaken, my friend. I've been hunting and target shooting for 2/3 of my life. I also have a concealed weapons permit issued by the State of Michigan to carry my .40" cal compact semi-automatic handgun. The NRA is an organization that stands for protecting the right to keep the firearms that the liberal idiots want to ban. They instruct people of all ages on the proper use of firearms for hunting and target shooting and self defense purposes. I have taken such courses from them. I have shot hundreds of rounds under the supervision of their instructors. My weapon of choice falls under the category of a dangerous weapon just like a bokken or knife or whatever, only my weapon is more effective. But with that effectiveness carries a responsibility that should be only given to those who complete a certified firearms course and background check.
  23. Our 2nd Dan associate instructor "retired" this week after a class. Was a major blow to us because he was a great guy and now we only have two blackbelts left. He said after all these years he needed to take a break and may come back at some point.
  24. I just wish my Michigan CCW permit was honored in every state. Man, there are some areas that I have to go in the DC and Balitmore areas and would feel a lot safer if I had my equalizer.
