  1. I'm changing the oil on my truck later to drive out there tomorrow. Too bad I only have a 6' long bed.
  2. If you really want to know what the sun looks like check out the live web cam at this link. It's located about a mile away from my office. http://www.park-place-hotel.com/weather.cfm
  3. So who's been flooded out on the east coast so far? It seems like there's a permanent cloud hanging over that area.
  4. One bourbon, one scotch, one beer.
  5. If that is what was really meant, I totally disagree with both parts of it. A good ring fighter will not stop a bullet or knife from Joe Thug, and the street cop does not equal a good fighter. They are better trained to read situations and respond appropriately. And it's not like it was a ten years ago or more. Police call for backup on everything now.
  6. Wow, you're a busy person. Welcome.
  7. Brown belt within a year and a half? Talk about living at the dojo...
  8. I had shortness of breath for a short period early this year when I sprained my rib. No big deal. It's just a part of screwing up a part of your body that is involved with everything that you do. Man, I hated to sneeze, cough, tie my shoes, and worst of all I had to quit the tacos and burritos if you know what I mean.
  9. It's a common problem within the Korean systems that just seems to get worse. But, as long you are happy in your training who cares what the other organizations think.
  10. Not entirely, TJS. But there might be some techniques from certain styles learn that would not be allowed in "a ring". They are used to kill or permanently injure your opponent in a rules-don't-apply type of streetfight.
  11. That kind of training would be helpful for fighting over the last beer at a party.
  12. "so when you step out of the ring it looses it's effectiveness? what about stlyes that cant win IN a ring with limited rules? if it dosent work in a simple 1 vs 1 competition why would it work better else where? to me the ring is a better test than anything else or than real fighting..whitch isint practicaal as a means of testing.." The street is an uncontrolled environment that has no rules.
  13. Heard of it? I can barely say it.
  14. But we're not in your place. You have to weigh the pros and cons and decide for yourself. That's life. Sorry.
  15. Vash, The number one way of not getting your bones broken in a fight is to not get yourself in a situation where that will happen. Yeah, I know, it's not that easy. However, any good self defense or martial art instructor will tell you the same. But, if it comes down to that situation, the next step is to either run or talk your way out of it. Then, if nothing else works, you hope for the best and start swinging.
  16. Yeah, take a cooking class somewhere.
  17. Probably depends how good you chew it.
  18. Sounds like you'll be sore for a while. I always loosen/warm up the joints before stretching. Rotations, back and forth, whatever. Just get the blood flowing before you dive into your stretching.

    Guitars!

Best acoustic player I've ever seen has to be Adrian Legg. You can check out some music samples at his website.
  20. Try looking at the Chinese Martial Arts forum for more information.
  21. I own a Ibanez RG series electric guitar that sits and collects dust. I watch Vai, Satriani, or Eric Johnson on DVD or VHS and realize my fingers weren't made for the scales they play.
  22. Oh yeah, now you're talking. Crack a CD in half to throw.
  23. How about a Bostich Stapler loaded with titanium nitride coated staples?
  24. I gotta friend who just took a job at Fender.
