  1. Things like that movie Office Space. I think we can all relate to that show.
  2. A guitar message board? What do they talk about? Putting an Ibanez Wizard II neck on a Gibson Flying V with EMG Zack Wylde model humbuckers? AHAHAHAHA! Actually, that would be a wicked combo.
  3. Or try one day rest between overall workouts. And you've already experienced the signs that you're burnt out.
  4. It seems no matter what I try to do, my flouresent jailcell of an office sucks the life right outa me. I go to practice and yawn during warmups. Of course, at the end of practice I have all kinds of energy and have a hard time going to sleep, so the next morning I'm a tired and sore zombie. And people wonder why I hate the AM.
  5. Tell him he probably kicks like a little girl.
  6. Sportsforums.net Must be tough to be a Blues fan.
  7. Hmmm....copyright infringement.
  8. Not exactly sure, but I will probably be resigning from KSW this fall.
  9. Yikes, another KSW member on the forums. That might make it five total. In Hyuk Suh would be proud.
  10. Hey! I'm still a member of KSW, even though I will probably take some time off from it to pursue a different style (meaning: I am looking for something more friendly to my blown out ankle and knee). Hope you enjoy the forums, Swooshfinn.
  11. Bummer. Beware of the foot sweeps if he's advanced.
  12. Sounds like a normal class. And at a good price.
  13. You will also find the more you practice, the more strength and balance you will develop.
  14. I think anyone in a traditional art has thought the same, but you have to keep in mind those katas are the expressive side of the arts. And perhaps it's a right brained way of training that makes the techniques second nature. My class often uses them as the warm up routine before practicing anything else.
  15. Used to hit the two-tracks a lot when I was younger, but learned it costs too much to repair our mistakes. A tire here, a bumper there, towing the Jeep out of the lake....
  16. I had something similar to that last year. Doctor told me I needed to strengthen muscles around knee cap area. But I did have pain in the hamstring before that and all I could figure is that they were trying to compensate for the weaker quad area. After I hit the weights, the pain (soreness) went away. I really love how having one bum leg makes the other feel tired too. My right ankle injury has made my left knee sore from putting most of the weight on it. It just never ends.
  17. Enjoy being skinny now, because it will slowly change as you get older.
  18. My bill per semester at the local college is about $125-150, not including testing fees which are about $20 a whack. Four hours instruction per week is the norm. Motrin and chiropractic adjustment is another story.
  19. Kicking with ankle weights would be a great way of trashing your knees and you won't feel the effects of it until you get older anyway. In other words, don't do it.
  20. Case closed? Sounds good. This thread is going nowhere.
  21. Wouldn't use a palm to replace a punch, but a firm slam to somebody's nose will mess them up.
  22. The ham and salami that went into my 8" sub sandwich was living at one time. And I'd like to thank those animals for making my lunch possible.
