weighted clothing while excersing/training?
TKD_McGee replied to Dbzhub's topic in Health and Fitness
That or tie a rope around a tire and the other end around your waist and run around the lawn... Thats an Urban myth used by football players lol.. -
Ask most Males now adays and they would tell you that they would punch a girl irreguardless of the situation.. Well there you have it.. most people are nuts today no wonder they die young.

Detailed information is usually given one on one in a private session. The teacher has to deal with a lot of people at different levels in a class so he may not know that you need special attention. You need to make the effort to get that information, either pay for it or stay late... you can't just sit around and whine then say that your master is a big meany!

Haha, yea Japanese women are perfect. They will slap you perfecly if you ask them for a date! Foreign Devil!

Yea that way you can hold em' back and get more $$ out of them. That Martial Arts pep talk is a bunch o HOOEY. Every Master gives it too...

It all depends on how much you weigh. I weight 145-150 (fluctuates) and can bench 150, in 15-20 reps. I never go for maximum weight because it dosent mean anything. So you can bench 300 lbs once, wow what good does that do for you? Except stress your muscles and boost your ego.

Hahaha, ok Piccolo.... u been watchin too much DBZ. -
Some ITF, WTF regulations require a hefty fee to test for the black belt. My school is 250 bucks I believe. I figure that TKD has around 5000 black belts in the world (According to ITF). That is a pretty elite force of people.

Should you practise more than one martial art
TKD_McGee replied to Lau gar's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Yea, how old are you? Can you afford to pay off two martial arts? In the higher levels things may get difficult, and you will have to sacrifice one's progress for the other. -
Yea you can help pat out. I ordered my stuff from http://www.karatedepot.com/ and http://www.awma.com/

Yea go to a big city, start up a school, and demand to fight your closest competitors leader. "ALL YOUR STUDENTS ARE MINE" If you lose, then take the walk of shame. (500th post, woohoo!)

Yea maybe im wrong.... look at Sammy Ho from Martial Law.... he's a fat guy and he can scale walls! Then again he dosen't practice TKD.

Maybe I should post a picture of myself in a Doctor suit to gain the trust of the people here? Then everyone would listen to me.. Har har har

Bloodsport
TKD_McGee replied to TKD_McGee's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
Yea out of the movies huge success, Frank Dukes got $3.83 total. -
Muscle or Fat, dosen't matter Laurie. Many people have huge thighs, just look at a football game or a Worlds Strongest Men/Woman competition on ESPN. TKD isn't a good martial art for everyone. I don't think its good if you can't touch your feet without bending your knees. How would it be possible to do some of the spinning and jumping kicks in the later levels? Its not pretty.. _________________ Do unto others, as they done to you. [ This Message was edited by: TKD_McGee on 2002-04-29 09:03 ]

I didn't say TKD was good for self defense or full contact.... I just said that I am in it, and it is the most widly practiced martial art in the world. TLC Martial Arts special said it was the most widly practiced also. I already knew that after watching some of the Olympic events with TKD. There are millions of people in TKD, in just about every country. Even Afghanistan had a TKD school. Maybe ive heard of Muay Thai, but ive never seen anything about it. Ive just heard of the name and thats about it. I can go watch KickBoxer and say I know all about Muay Thai?
