  1. McGregor is denying this and saying he wants December. Yep. Tonight on X C. McG posted this "THE UFC LOVE AND WANT ME FOR DECEMBER! I AM READY." Aug 15, 2024 The saga goes on. UFC is like desperate housewives for sports fans.
  2. Alice Cooper - Be My Lover
  3. Dana White has confirmed that he spoke with McGregor recently and that he wants to fight. When asked when Dana said "not this year."
  4. David Kushner - Daylight
  5. That's cool. Might be worth looking into.I am not far enough into it yet to have an opinion, but it has been on my bookshelf for a while, so I decided it was time to read it. So many books and not enough time. Ain't that the truth?I've been poking through Taekwondo, A Path to Excellence, by Doug Cook. Unfortunately, I'm reading the history section right now, which is usually painful in a TKD text. And usually false. Is there some contiversy about when TKD became a martial art?
  6. The Lovin' Spoonful - Summer in the City
  7. Three months and going stronger than ever.
  8. To start out I have no experience or knowledge of these organizations or any history they might or might not have with each other. I do agree that it is a red flag to claim that attending another seminar is an ethics violation. Some schools do not play well with others, and in my opinion that is unfortunate because by preventing the students from attending you are preventing them from learning. Unless there is some type of a scam or legal issue between the organizations this is 100% unacceptable imo. And, even if there is an issue, it's questionable. Some years ago there was a lawsuit between USSD and Z-Ultimate Karate, where United Studios of Self Defense accused Z-Ultimate of rebranding USSD into a different name without consent and used their same material. The Katas, the belt system, the testing curriculum, was all the exact same as USSD, they just basically stole everything they did but changed the name. The courts sided with USSD, and Z-Ultimate was ordered to pay 7.7 million dollars in damages. However, even then there were students who were cross training between the two schools and were allowed to. Another example, there was an Aikido school in town that did not allow students to attend seminars of other styles, dojos, or instructors. If the students did not obey this rule they were banned from training at the Aikido dojo. I don't like it. Actually, no, I hate it. If I was training somewhere and they told me I wasn't allowed to expand my knowledge by learning from others I would quit that school and go somewhere else. Major issue for me.

  10. Weldon Rogers - So Long, Good Luck, and Goodbye
  11. Season 2 of the Fraiser reboot will start on September 19.
  12. July 10, 2021. Lost to Dustin Poirier after breaking his leg at the end of round one. A disappointing way for the main event to end. I did not have a rooting interest; I just remember it well because I was new to the UFC and it was my first time watching a PPV.
  13. Be Water, My Friend by Shannon Lee. The daughter of Bruce Lee wrote a book about his teachings.
  14. New Order - Blue Monday
  15. Why do you think that?It doesn't seem to have any point. He has nothing to prove and has more money than he can ever spend. He has not fought in over three years, is currently injured, and last time he did fight he suffered a major injury. With nothing to prove, no title on the line, and 300 million plus in the bank, why come back and risk further injury? It doesn't make sense to me. However, he is saying that he plans to fight in December so I could be completely wrong.
  16. Talking Heads - Girlfriend is Better
  17. Looks like McGregor won't be fighting before October. My guess is that he will never fight in the UFC again.
  18. That's good stuff. You really run the gamut on your music selection. I like it! Well thank you. I used to DJ so I had to know a wide range of music. To be honest a lot of it I did not like at first, but some of the songs grew on me. Lil Troy - Wanna Be a Baller
  19. There is a slim chance that some of the stuff Hollywood puts out could be a little bit fabricated.
  20. Good to hear. I think the one-day contract in pro-sports are kind of cool. Maybe other businesses should try that...or maybe not. I had a one-day contract at a job once but it wasn't on purpose.
  21. Eric Staal is signing a one-day contract to retire as a Carolina Hurricane. The team will retire his #12 during the regular season.
  22. Thank you for sharing your story.
  23. Interested to look at some of the best players in the NHL that never won the cup. Here are a few names that come to mind right away for me: Retired: Jeremy Roenick, Pavel Bure, Adam Oates Active players who could still win the cup: Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Carrey Price, Austin Matthews, Erik Karlsson. Who is on your list?
  24. It's strange to me that Cobra Kai is still allowed in the Sekai Taikai. This is supposed to be a very prestigious and select group of dojo's and Cobra Kai got in but since then their head sensei, Terry Silver, is gone, and their two competing students, Lee and Payne, both left the team. Yet they are competing with Tory who ran off instead of fighting for the tournament, and they are out of Korea instead of the USA. Maybe this will get explained in future episodes, seems like they are running out of ways to make it work so they just throw it together and hope you buy in. I am buying in, but it doesn't tie together the way it should. Though I am very interested to learn about Miyagi's story with the tournament. I expect it will explain a lot about his strong feelings toward tournament competition.
