  1. The NFL power rankings are out for week 11 and for the FIRST TIME EVER the Lions are at #1. It doesn't matter much and says nothing about what will happen the rest of the season, but at least for this week the Lions are considered the best team in the NFL! The Lions have never been the best team in the NFL in my lifetime. Their last championship was in 1957. With zero Super Bowl apparencies, they are the only team in the NFL that has existed during the entire Super Bowl era that has never played in the big game. Last year was the best team the Lions ever had, and they almost made it. So far this year they have been far better than last year. Maybe this is finally the year they break the cycle.
  2. Update on the Ovechkin injury, he is listed as "week to week" which means his timeline to return is unknown, but unlikely he will play in the Capitals next game which is Thursday. The Boston Bruins have fired head coach Jim Montgomery who was in his third season. It has been a slow start for the Bruins 8-9-3, a team that had preseason expectations of competing for the Stanley Cup. Joe Sacco will take over as the interim coach.
  3. Spoiler alert It was disappointing to me that Robbie won the fight and eliminated Cobra Kai, then in the next episode Cobra Kai was gifted another chance and stayed in the tournament. In hindsight I guess it should have been obvious, but it felt to me like the perfect way for CK to end their reign. Robbie Keene, the son of Cobra Kai's best student, puts them to sleep for good. That is how it should have ended. There was a lot of buildup during the episodes about Silver and Kreese fighting, a fight I was looking forward to, but we never saw it fully conclude. I am interested in the background of Miyagi fighting in the tournament, and hope that this is explained further in the episodes, and in the potential prequel.
  4. Good points. This is why you are member of the month.
  5. Time to bring back Joe Girardi????????????????????
  6. Two more goals for Ovechkin tonight in the Capitals 5-2 win in Utah. Ovi has been on a hot streaking, scoring five goals in two games and only 18 games into the season already has 15 goals, much above his slow start from last year. At 868, he is now 27 goals behind Gretzky for the record. If Ovi keeps this pace, which is unlikely, he will pass Gretzky this season. If he does not pass him this year next season seems inevitable. As the saying goes "records are made to be broken." During the win Ovi did suffer a lower body injury in the third period, he tried to come back into the game but was not able to. The extent of the injury is unknown at this time. As for Utah, they started off strong but have hit a skid, losing five of seven and falling under .500. Other winners on Monday were the Canadians, Blue Jackets, Ducks, and Avs, the Sharks lead the Red Wings right now in the third.
  7. Tough night for the Cowboys as they continue to struggle. A home loss of 34-10 to the Texans, Cowboys fall to 3-7 and are the only team in the league without a home win this season. They become the first team in NFL history to trail by 20 points or more in six consecutive games. The game was loaded with penalties from both sides, including several scrums late in the game. I can't remember the last time I watched a game with so many flags thrown. Dallas visits Washington on Sunday, then play at home against the 2-8 Giants on Thanksgiving. The Giants have benched starting QB Daniel Jones. NY has had a rough season as well; they are 2-8 and in last place, so both teams in NY are having long seasons.
  8. Patti LeBelle - New Attitude
  9. Well thank you If that is a real position I accept
  10. The fight stunk and so did the broadcast. Nine months of hype only to fall flat. A dumpster fire.
  11. The gym is now closed for the next three weeks as they do some remodeling. Maybe I will get some of those resistance bands and work out at home.
  12. The Chiefs win streak has come to an end, losing in Bufalo on Sunday 30-21. It is the first loss for KC since Christmas Day. Their 9-1 record is still best in the AFC, though the Bills are kind of a quiet 9-2 and now have the tie breaker, so it could come down to the final week to see who gets the top seed. Detroit won again, as the Lions ate the Jaguars for lunch, 52-6. Eight wins in a row for the Lions and now they have the longest winning streak in the NFL, but still only up one game on the 8-2 Vikings. Minnesota is another team that has quietly been very good. As for the Jags, I question if Coach Doug Peterson will make it to the end of the season. Another loss for the Jets, now 3-8, they came up just short against the Colts 28-27. Other winners were the Rams, Steelers, Dolphins, Saints, Packers, Broncos and Seahawks. Chargers and Bengals are playing right now, Texans and Cowboys play Monday night.
  13. Sorry to hear this. Life (and death) can be very cruel. It is sad when good people die so young.
  14. D12 - Revelation
  15. Toronto's enforcer Ryan Reeves has been suspended five games without pay for his illegal hit on Oiler's defenseman Darnel Nurse on Saturday. Nurse took a nasty hit to the head in a collision with Reeves which lead to Nurse bleeding on his jersey and Reeves being ejected. Toronto won the game 4-3 in overtime. Reeves is a veteran of the league and a known tough guy. This is not his first ejection, or his first suspension. He famously was ejected from a game in 2018 for a late shoulder to shoulder hit that injured Capitals forward Tom Wilson. He was also suspended for some playoff games a few years back in a scuffle with Ryan Graves of the Avalanche. This five-game suspension will cost Reeves over 35 grand in salary.
  16. There were some great moments in episodes 6-9, but then in episode 10 it fell apart for me. It got over the top ridiculous and it feels like the show might be hanging on too long. Five more episodes are going to be released, rumored in February but this has not been confirmed yet, and then the series will be over. S6 E10 was not a bad episode, but just too much. I hope the show ends strong because, it would be a shame for the show to be great for so long then have a lousy ending.
  17. Limp Bizkit - Re-Arranged
  18. I have seen the six and seven, going to finish 8-10 tonight!
  19. Look, I am going to just come out and say it, I am changing my prediction, and I think Jake Paul will win. I hope I am wrong.
  20. Mike Tyson SLAPS Jake Paul during the face off the night before the fight. Tyson had a scary look in his eye while Paul laughed it off, called it "cute" and screamed "it's personal now, he must die."
  21. Eagles beat the Commanders 26-18 on Thursday night. Eagles are now 8-2, the second place Commanders are 7-4.
  22. Connor McDavid got hit the 1000 career point mark on Thursday in the Oilers 3-2 overtime win against Nashville. McDavid is the 4th fastest to ever reach the milestone. The other winners on Thursday were the Wild, Flyers, Devils, Lightning, Rangers, Islanders, Sabers, Stars, and Kraken.
  23. Just hours away from five new episodes being released. Who else is excited?
  24. Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven
  25. Sounds like a great meal plan to me. This will be my first time watching a live boxing match.
