It's almost over. What is left of today, and then tomorrow (5/29) will be the end of it. It was fun while it lasted. Kind of.

Panthers win and advance to the finals. This is the most lopsided conference finals I can remember maybe ever. Boring too. Mood: Who cares? -

Another strong game by Skinner, only allowing one goal and the Oilers win. Oilers have dominated most of this series, Stars can't find any offense, they have been outscored 13-2 in the last three games. Two goals in three games isn't going to beat anyone in the NHL playoffs, much less a team as skilled offensively as the Oilers. Stars better find some offense and fast or things will end for them in game five. Both series are 3-1, and in both series the team that was in the finals last year is ahead. -

At least Carolina avoids the sweep. They win 3-0 on Monday night and now are down 3-1 in the series. This ends a 15-game losing streak for the Canes in the Eastern Conference Finals. -

Serious charges including kidnapping and sex trafficking. A video was shown in court of him committing violence against a female witness in a hotel, punching her unconscious then dragging her down the hall. Very Ray Rice like, if you remember that case with the NFL player from a decade ago. The trial is two weeks in, expected to be six to eight weeks. Lots of disturbing information that I will not post about. If convicted Diddy could be sentenced to life in prison.

Ah, good point. I didn't consider that different countries read the dates in a different order. This was brought to my attention by a friend you sent me a text about it, I just thought it was interesting enough to pass along.

is the feeling that sums up these conference finals. Another blowout today, Oilers 6-1 over the Stars. Take a 2-1 series lead. All blowouts in the east, Panthers up 3-0 in the series, won 6-2 and have outscored the Canes 16-4 in three games. Feels like a rematch between the Oilers and Panthers. I am with you @sensei8 if it is the same two teams again, I might sit it out this year. -
I guess number should work too. IDK about photos, I feel like it should be in words or numbers. But I don't care. 5/25/25

The problem with the OT seems to be the field goals. So how about this. No kicking game in overtime. The team that wins the toss, if they receive, possess the ball at their own 25-yard line. Then it is first team to score. No field goals, no kickoffs, no punts. You can only win by a TD or a safety. If neither team scores after 10 minutes the game ends in a tie.

I'm more interested in this card than anything the UFC has offered in a while. I hope Harrison beats Pena. -
Interesting, I never thought about it in any of those ways.

Oilers tie the series, winning 3-0 in Dallas as it shifts to Edmonton. Skinner has been all over the map. In this three wins this post season he has pitched three shutouts, however in the four losses he has given up 20 goals. While the timeline to return for Calvin Pickard is unknown, the play by Skinner could be what determines the winner in this series. Mood: Late in the second period, when the Stars were down 3-0, ESPN showed the crowd and one of the commentators said, "it doesn't look like any of them are having fun right now." I am glad he said that, because it was exactly how I was feeling. -

Florida goes into Carolina and dominates the first two games, winning tonight 5-0 and a combined score of 10-2. Panthers are looking unstoppable right now. In their last four wins they have outscored Toronto and Carolina 22-4. -

Wow, what a comeback by the Stars. The Oilers were up 3-1 and looked like they had control of the game, but then Dallas puts up five unanswered in the third to win it 6-3. Chants of "USA" came down from the hometown fans as Dallas makes a big comeback and takes a 1-0 lead in the series. What a turn around. Sing it with me..... "Start spreading the message, God Bless Texas!!!!" -
After six pages of discussion, I think it is clear that the proposal is full of risks. Injury, cost, retaining students, ect, and furthermore is very limited in what it teaches the students. The risks are much higher than the reward. I encourage the OP to reconsider this proposal, if that has not been done already.
