  1. I would like to see the Stars win this series as well. I'd also like to see the Hurricanes win, but they lost 5-2 in game one.
  2. Might as well include this too, the West Finals between the Oilers and Stars beings Wednesday night. Here is the full schedule for that series. Game 1: Oilers at Stars, Wednesday, May 21, 8 p.m. ET; ESPN, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS Game 2: Oilers at Stars, Friday, May 23, 8 p.m. ET; ESPN, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS Game 3: Stars at Oilers, Sunday, May 25, 3 p.m. ET; ABC, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS Game 4: Stars at Oilers, Tuesday, May 27, 8 p.m. ET; ESPN, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS Game 5: Oilers at Stars, Thursday, May 29, 8 p.m. ET; ESPN, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS * Game 6: Stars at Oilers, Saturday, May 31, 8 p.m. ET; ABC, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS * Game 7: Oilers at Stars, Monday, June 2, 8 p.m. ET; ESPN, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS * * If necessary
  3. I hope you are correct, I don't like the idea of a PPV SB.
  4. First game of the East Finals starts tonight between the Panthers and Hurricanes. Here is the full series schedule. 5. Glad it hear it! Keep up the good fight
  6. Not sure if this qualifies but it appears that JJJ has been pushed out of the market, at least in the US, by BJJ.
  7. Panthers dominate the Leafs 6-1, win game seven on the road. Panthers outscored the Leafs 12-2 in games five and seven in Toronto. Bad showing for the Leafs, who have not been to the Cup finals since 1967, the longest drought of any team in the NHL. Back then there were only eight teams in the league. This also ends any chance of an all Candian final, as Florida will play Carolina in the East. No announcements of the schedule yet for that series, but the game one between the Oilers and Stars will be Wednesday. And then there were four.....
  8. There have been some YouTube videos that have done the math to explain how much it would cost to watch the NFL from your home, and the price is going up. Between regular TV, ESPN, NFL Network, and the multiple streaming services, if you wanted access to watch every NFL game live on TV/internet it would cost approximately 855 dollars. That was in 2024. It is expected to be higher this season. That is simply to watch the game sitting on your sofa. As long as fans keep paying the increase in cost, the league will continue to raise their prices. Eventually there will be 18 games. Eventually the Super Bowl will be a PPV event. The NFL will squeeze every penny they can out of the fans and the fans will keep paying, so each year the league will set a new record in profits.
  9. Group class runs 7-8pm but private lessons and testing can happen in the morning, afternoon, or evening. I tend to prefer evening classes, but a noon class has its perks, I get an emotional lift from training that can be beneficial during the day.
  10. Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele woke up this morning to the news that his father had passed away. It was unclear if he was going to play tonight. He did, and he scored the first goal of the game. It was the only goal the Jets scored in a 2-1 overtime loss, ending their season. Another Presidents Trophy winner that does not win the Cup. The trend has been going for over a decade. The last team to win the Presidents Trophy and the Cup in the same year, the 2012-13 Chicago Blackhawks. Overall, another disappointing playoff run for the Jets. Despite that wild game 7 win against the Blues, they end up going out in mostly unimpressive fashion, finishing 0-6 on the road in the playoffs. Hellybuck did not play as well as he did in the regular season and another Canadian team bites the dust. Only the Leafs and Oilers remain. No team from Canada has won the Cup since the Canadians did in 1993. Stars will face the Oilers. No date scheduled for the game yet. Game 7 between the Leafs and Panthers will be Sunday at 7:30 eastern.
  11. I don't see anything wrong with it. None of us are obligated to watch sports.
  12. Leafs respond well, get the 2-0 win and force game 7 on Sunday. Stars and Jets game 6 will be on Saturday. Jets trail the series 3-2 and the game is in Dallas. Jets are 0-5 on the road in the playoffs this year.
  13. If I was ever in a situation where I had to fight for my life, I would do whatever I had to do to survive, and deal with the aftermath of that later. As the old saying goes "better to be judged by 12 than carried by six."
  14. By far the biggest gap between posts I have ever seen in a thread in my life anywhere.
  15. Well arn't you the lucky one Big game tonight for the Maple Leafs. They will try to keep their season going in Florida after that disastrous loss in game five at home. I'd like to see the Leafs win this game but all the momentum is with the Panthers, feels like the series ends tonight.
  16. As other have said, the decision can be based on several factors, but I'd say as a general rule if you honestly feel it is unsafe to be where you are, I would get out of there as soon as possible.
  17. Anyone been following this? Trial started a few days ago and is very disturbing.
  18. Canes advance, beating the Capitals 3-1. Jets stay alive with a 4-0 win against the Stars, game six in Dallas on Saturday.
  19. I hope not either, I can't stand Evander Kane. I am hoping for a Winnipeg/Carolina finals. How did you do that?
  20. It feels like the Oilers are going to win the Cup.
  21. It's in Dallas. Detroit and Dallas always play at home on Thanksgiving. Lions will host the Packers that day, and play the Vikings on Christmas on Netflix, but I am not going to order a streaming service to watch one NFL game.
  22. The Maple Leafs were a disaster. That was so bad. A chance to go up 3-2 in the series and lose 6-1 on home ice. Ugly. The Oilers win 1-0 in OT and beat the Knights 4-1 in the series. They await the winner of the Stars/Jets series.
  23. Many were predicting this even back in the 90s. Rose would get in after his death. I think he will. His punishment was not living to see it.
  24. Stars beat the Jets and are up 3-1 in the series, meaning three of the four series now are 3-1. Comebacks from this deficit do happen but are rare. According to what I saw on Yahoo Sports, the mathematical chances of winning a series when behind 3-1 is about 9%. Those are long odds for the Capitals, Jets, and Golden Knights. We will see if any of them can pull off a comeback. The good news for all three of those teams has home ice in game five and would have it in game seven. Mood: Hungry, tired and disappointed I'm crashing early tonight; hope you feel better tomorrow.
