  2. 10/15 Small AAWAA gathering focus on pressure points
  3. I did enjoy seeing the group start to get their act together when dealing with zombies, they have adapted there tactics much since season 1 and 2. (COMIC SPOILER)I enjoy how they combined Hershel with Dale from the comics with the amputation angle. My biggest problem is how the hell do you turn a maglite into a silencer on a gun that appears to be a glock which doesn't have enough exposed barrel to facilitate a suppressor(NERD RAGE)!!!!!!
  4. Less than 8 hours, i will be speeding home from work tonight to catch the second showing!!!
  5. With no vest, I'd just be presenting a lot of center mass, then? Correct, im not a huge fan of a true isosceles stance, I used to shoot from what would be called a "Modified Weaver Stance" with the strong side foot taken bake further than a weaver stance, but ive squared it up a bit recently. I would recommend reading any book by Jeff Cooper that you could find, ive got some i will loan to you.
  6. 10/10-10/13 60 minute freerolls every day, focusing on defense and base. Also trying to focus on body locks for control.
  7. We are less than 1 week away from the season 3 premiere of "The Walking Dead" Episode 1 entitled "Seed". Anyone have any ideas what this title could imply for the episode. Im saying it has something to do with Lori's pregnancy.
  8. Street fighter 2 Stage Themes for sparring rounds Master Toddy Muay Thai round timer Bob Dylan for BJJ
  9. 10/3 60 minute freeroll Triangle escape pass from butterfly guard
  10. 10/1 AM: Opening morning of archery deer season!!!!! PM: 60 minute freeroll with the gi. Focused on Choke to sweep to armbar to triangle series.
  11. Trying to be competent at a new job. Seems like I suck at life right now. Better get used to it for a while
  12. Questioning in our group is encouraged. Usually if someone has an argumentative attitude about something, they are thrown in for a couple rounds of sparring and then they seem to be much more respectful.
  13. I agree the first half of season 2 was a bit slow, but they more than made up for it in the 2nd half. Season 3 looks to pick up the action as well.
  14. 9/25 60 minute freeroll
  15. Less than two weeks from the season premier, and two weeks from the release of compendium #2!!!
  16. 9/24 Worked on tight defense from variety of positions 60 min freeroll
  17. I have puked twice during training, both were during belt testings. This seems to be a common occurance with our little group however. The last time was during my test for my 3rd brown belt stripe. Tallgeese directly contributed to this by constantly grinding me into the mat and occasionally choking the daylights out of me.
  18. This may be my new signature!!!
  19. 9/19 60 min light freeroll neck pain be damned!!!
  20. Hehe, i could write pages explaining what Bujin is, I just had to settle for "other". Found myself marking almost every style for 1-3 times per week. Thats Bujin.
  21. Well after a spirited grappling session last night, it turns out i jacked my neck up something fierce. Therefore screwing up my training for the rest of the week. I starts second shift at work next week so my training is going to become limited anyway. Anyone have tips for combating non-training depression??
  22. Reading this again got me thinking, the last 3 months for me have sucked from a training stand point. I have found myself in a new line of work, Law Enforcement. From June to August I was sequestered(SP?) at the State Police Academy. This was a good experience, however it totally wrecked my training schedule. Furthurmore i will soon be working the afternoon shift at my department, this will further wreck my training schedule. I will still be able to squeeze in a couple day a week hopefully, but it won't come close to my regiment of the past. The point i am trying to make is that as martial artists we must make the most of the training opportunities that we have, because sometimes they can be in limited supply. Don't take training partners or training venues for granted. Also due to my change in employment my focus in martial arts has shifted somewhat. Prior to becoming a cop I focused mainly on manipulating a person into a position where i could stomp on their head...This is not conducive to a long career in law enforcement. When i can train, I have been focusing on BJJ and some Greco-Roman wrestling as a way to control a subject, definately a more peaceful means of gaining compliance than massive head trauma. To all members of the Bujin Clan and KF, make use of your time and make use of the knowledge available to you.
  23. Thank you for the kind words.
