True, True. But I like to study up on similar things. If their mostly sparring and self defense orientated it would be good to be in better shape for their kind of stuff..or would it be better if I came completely un aware of their style?

I am surrounded by towns of populations under 1000 (Some greatly under 1000). My town that I live in has only 500 population. Their is my school, an affiliates school, and my students school three towns over...thats all. The last martial arts instructor that was here he got ran out of town...

So lets take it into a scientific approach. What allows us to visualize qi I ask this question because I do not know what allows us to visualize it.

I like it, it looks good. It seems reminiscent of my Sanda days, haha. I will probably look into it now and try to compete more at a sparring level before I end up going down that way.

the goal as a martial artist should be to better themselves in everything, not just fighting but even outside of martial arts, it should have nothing to do with the belt. TO be able to say that when you do martial arts is beneficial is should truly mean that it is beneficial in all aspects, not just by saying that your capable of taking care of your self in a defense issue.

One advantage of learning a movement from a younger person is that they still have a natural sense of humility...unlike an adult who thinks they knows everything...a younger person (under 13) can probably relate to others with that same experience making the experience go smoother...IMO that is.

In my case their is only one martial arts school in a total of 150 miles in any direction...I love martial arts but i am not going to travel almost three hours to learn an art, with these gas prices...

Alright, but what would you say if the philosophy of qi could be simple like the philosophy of Adrenaline, couldn't the two be linked or couldn't the two be the other? Because Adrenaline does make you stronger and/or quicker.

Hmmm I just want to know if within 5 years I would be able to achieve a brown belt from them. I want my five years their to achieve something other than just getting my PHd in Pharmacology. And its close to a style im doing now if its shotokan based (Kajukenpo). I would prefer to continue my Uechi Ryu but I have not been able to find one thats based around there yet.

ok what about this. Their is a minimum of 30 class hours needed but they only offer one class a week. (This is going from white to orange). You been going till you only have ten classes left, but on this particular day is the only testing date till another four months. Would you allow him to test or not? This is a situation when he has to pay you a 50 dollar testing fee per test as well.
