Knights lost to the Canucks 4-3. Knights play on Oiler ice tomorrow. Getting down to the nitty and gritty. Knights find themselves back in 4th place in the Pacific. Knights have eight remaining games: *Edmonton Oilers (Away) on April 10, 2024, at 5:30 PM; they're in 2nd place in the Pacific. *Minnesota Wild (Home) on April 12, 2024, at 7:00 PM; they're in 6th place in the Central. *Colorado Avalanche (Home) on April 14, 2024, at 12:30 PM; they're in 2nd place in the Central. *Chicago Blackhawks (Home) on April 16, 2024, at 7:00 PM; they're in 8th place in the Central. *Anaheim Ducks (Home) on April 18, 2024, at 7:00 PM; they're in 7th place in the Pacific. GO KNIGHTS!! -
Someone might use an old uniform for cosplay, Halloween, costume or to donate. I've used my old, and new, uniform for just relaxing around the house, with at least the bottoms because they're very comfortable. Old belts can be recycled in such a wide variety of uses than the uniform. But of course, I've not much of a vivid imagination with what to do with an old uniform.

I thought that the A's leaving could increase attendance as a farewell this season, but the fans are so fed up with ownership that attendance might drop even further. I don't blame them, ownership ruined that team. I wouldn't spend a penny on them either. I am a full believer in being a bandwagon fan, no reason to give my time and money to some millionaires and billionaires who are not providing a decent product. I root for the same teams, but I don't put time or money into them when they stink year after year, Yeah, I can easily see why the A's decided to move to a Triple A venue next season. I doubt that the A's will be able to fill that venue either. The A's don't sell out at the Triple A venue here in Las Vegas, The Aviators, whenever they play here. Btw, the A's already lose a lot whenever they're here in Las Vegas during the few games they play here during the MLB pre-season.

Vegas will make the playoffs and it looks like Hertl could be ready to play as soon as Monday. If he fits in well, and they get Stone back, they are going to be a dangerous team in the playoffs. I've got my finders crossed for the best. GO KNIGHTS!! -

Just great!! Knights lost to the Coyotes on Friday 4-7. Monday the Knights face the Canucks on their ice. Then the Oilers on their ice on Wednesday. Canucks and Oilers might be seeking a little payback. I was wondering if the Stars were ever going to lose again, and I see that they did. GO KNIGHTS!! -

After that game, I was looking for a bag to wear over head. As far as Monday and then Edmonton, I hope to remove the bag from over my head. GO KNIGHTS!! -
Kids lessons: yes or no
sensei8 replied to Spartacus Maximus's topic in Instructors and School Owners
The title of this topic begs the question: Kids lessons: yes or no If the answer is no, then why not?? Casting aside the possibility of adding to a MA school's bottom line, don't kids deserve the right to learn the MA from a caring and legit and effective teacher?!? Of course, whether a MA school teaches kids or not, that's up to that school, and I support whatever they decide. -
I enjoyed this year's April Fool's Day here quite a lot. Thanks.

I've noticed that the attendance for A's home games are already dwindled to near nothing. Many A's fans are discussed through and through. As I've stated before, I'm not an A's fan and could care less what they do across the board. I just want to see my Yankees play here in Las Vegas; easier than traveling to see my Yankees play. GO YANKEES!!

I know it's not possible, I think, but are the Stars going to not lose any remaining games?? They've won 8 straight games so far. GO KNIGHTS!! -

I cried my eyes out when I was diagnosed with Afib back in 2016. You can read about my journey with Afib here... https://www.karateforums.com/renewing-myself-or-at-least-trying-to-vt50082.html 8 years and counting with Afib, I'm still here by the Grace of God. My cardiologist refused to do another cardiac inversion because there's no use of repeating that procedure over and over. Do it once, and hope it keeps. Mine didn't after 6 months; my Afib returned. I did nothing to cause my Afib to return, it just came back. I lost tons of weight, I stayed very active, and watched my diet. I had to change or die!! I still take Eliquis twice a day, exercise as much as I can being with me now being disabled, keep a very strict diet, and normal follow-ups with my cardiologist so he can manage my Afib. I just finished a bunch of tests and will be visiting my cardiologist, Dr. John Bowers, today for the results. I just have to live with Afib for the rest of my life. Whenever I do work out and train, I make sure that I have on my heart rate monitor. Whenever my heart rate hits 180bpm, I sit down and relax until my heart rate drops back down. My BPM at rest is 86, which for me is normal for having Afib. You'll be fine. You've a cardiologist to manage your Afib. Follow your cardiologist directions and orders to the letter without fail. Eliquis doesn't guarantee that you'll never have a stroke, but it greatly lessens the possibility of having a stroke. Watch your diet and monitor your heart rate while working out and training. Rely and trust on your cardiologist and follow all of your cardiologists' instructions to the letter. I'll answer any questions you might have. Just know that I sincerely believe that with your Afib being managed by your cardiologist, that you'll be fine and that you can continue to train and workout. Afib is NOT a death sentence, just a change of lifestyle. Just remember this, with Afib, things are done in moderation no matter what that might be.

Knights crush the 1st place Canucks 6-3 for the Knights 3 straight win. Knights scored 4 times in the first quarter and 1 for each remaining quarters. With only 14 games remaining for the regular season, the Knights have moved up to 3rd place in the Pacific. The Canucks win was sorely needed and surprised many, I'm sure, I was one of them. Just being real. Look at the Stars with 7-win streak. Friday the Knights play on 7th place on the Central Coyote. Then the Knights rehash on Canucks ice on April 8th. And if the pressure for the Knights wasn't enough, the Knights travel to the 2nd place ice in the Pacific, the Oilers on April 10th. Hopefully, after the Canucks and Oilers chew on the Knights next week, and the dust settles down, the Knights can add 2 more wins or the Knights don't slip back into 4th place. Knights need to play like their life's depend on it against the Canucks and Oilers!! GO KNIGHTS!! -
Dye them. Get a plastic bucket at the dollar store, pick a color you often test for (yellow, blue, green), dye them then hang them somewhere to dry (outside is better so it doesn't drip on your floor). Give them away to students that test. Costs you little, makes students happy. Don't put them in the dryer or they'll shrink. I had not considered this. Hmmmm. Might be an idea to run with. That's a great idea, Montana! Yes, great idea, Montana. I tried to do that once, but I really suck at dying anything; the belts looked like what Kool-Aid looks like when there's too much water...weak, I could never get the belt color look solid like belts are supposed to.

Way to address the weight issue; glad Kenneth meet weight. What an exciting and amazing weekend all around. I really enjoy your updates and sharing Kenneth's wrestling with us. He's well rounded on and off the mat with a great head on his shoulders. Ending with overall 5-2 and 3-2 against actual opponents is something that Kenneth and you all can be proud of. Congrats Kenneth on having the highest points and earning Most Valuable Wrestler for the team. OUTSTANDING, KENNETH!! What's up for Kenneth next?? GO KENNETH!!

That is too bad about the Tropicana. It's an iconic Vegas casino. I agree!! Las Vegas will be known as the city that brought 2 major sports that might not ever win their respective championships that have/are built/building billion-dollar stadiums. Is that money well spent?? At least the Knights and the Aces brought championships to Las Vegas in their short history for Sin City in borrowed arena's. The Aces home games are played at the Michelob Ultra Arena and the Knights home games are played at the T-Mobile Arena. Both are multi-purpose indoor arena's. GO YANKEES!! Vegas sure became a sports town fast. It wasn't that long ago that leagues wanted to stay away from sports gambling all together, now it is advertised during the games. It seems that changed when major sports leagues came to Vegas, the Knights and Raiders. As far as the A's, will moving to Vegas and a new stadium mean they spend more money on the roster? 1.5 billion (is it taxpayer money?) to build a stadium and tear down an iconic Vegas location, I'd hope they would do more to improve the team. The A's lost more games than any team in major league baseball last year. ATHLETICS 2024 PAYROLL TOTALS Active Payroll: $43,265,000 Injured List: $16,680,000 Retained: $2,000,000 Active Total Payroll: $61,945,000 ATHLETICS LUXURY TAX PAYROLL 2024 Tax Threshold $237,000,000 Total AAV/Tax Payroll: $61,195,000 Est. Benefits: $17,000,000 Est. Minor Buried Salaries: - Est. Minor Salaries: $2,250,000 Total Tax Allocations $82,111,666 Yes!! To the tune of $380 MILLION. Under SB509, direct public financing for the stadium project is capped at $380 million. But first, the A's have to spend $100M for the stadium. Yeah...I don't see the A's of 2002 making a comeback when the A's finished first in the American League West with a record of 103–59 under GM Billy Beane. Oh yeah,,,GO YANKEES!!

With only 15 games remaining for the regular season, the doors closing very fast on the Knights chance for post season fights on the ice for the defending Stanley Cup Champions. I hoped, but I knew that a back-to-back Championship would be very difficult feat. While post-season seems far-fetched, the doors haven't closed all of the way yet for the Knights. The Knights COULD end up in the Wild Card or end up in 3rd place on the Pacific. Don’t look now, but the Golden Knights are currently just three points clear of the Minnesota Wild for the second and final wild card spot. They face each other on the ice tomorrow. Home ice, should the Knights squeeze into the playoffs, will not be a possibility for the Knights. The Knights need to be concerned with their play on wherever the ice might be. GO KNIGHTS!! -
Solid post and questions, for sure, and I agree 100%. If there is a rivalry between those two, I've not read about it anywhere. They both have exchanged pre-fight stares and boasts, like... "My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep." Tyson simply replied..."We'll see!" The fight could be either an exhibition or officially sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The decision rests with the TDLR based on the proposed fight card. If it’s an exhibition, expect some rule changes: *Rounds may be shorter (2-minute rounds instead of the standard 3 minutes). *Gloves could be heavier (16 ounces instead of the usual 10 ounces) Like you, I wonder, what's the point of this fight?!? I agree, it seems to be a big money grab. While the money has not been officially announced as of yet, Jake Paul has previously stated that he believes a fight with Tyson could generate somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 million. In the past, Tyson even mentioned that he’d be willing to face Paul for a staggering $1 billion. However, more recently, it’s been suggested that Tyson would accept a much lower fee, somewhere between $50 million and $100 million. Who would face Paul should Tyson fail pre-fight test as stipulated in the rules? Anyway, sounds like a big money grab for them both, like you suggest, Ken. Nonetheless, for Paus, this fight can boost Paul's confidence or smash it, depending how the fight ends for Paul. For Tyson, money speaks, and he might be curious to see if he still "got's it", because he's really got nothing to lose whole on the other hand Paul has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Let's get ready to rumble...::cough:: ::cough::

Kids lessons: yes or no
sensei8 replied to Spartacus Maximus's topic in Instructors and School Owners
Spartacus Maximus said: Absolute vitally?? No!! That's up to said CI or MA school owner!! If the CI is worth their salt on and off the floor, kids as students aren't necessary for the success of any MA school. Spartacus Maximus said: No!! Profit or not for profit has no bearing on any spreadsheet because you want to teach, and you love teaching. Takes more than students to be successful in a MA business. Yes!! A dojo, dojang, or whatever, it's still a business where any type of overhead that must be addressed day by day and month to month and year to year. With students, you're going to need a cash flow to buy gi's, belts, training equipment, a place to train, or whatever else one might need even if the MA school is not for profit. Money in, money out. Not one MA school NEEDS kid students, unless they WANT to teach kids. I taught kids not because I needed to pad my bottom line but because I thoroughly enjoy teaching, kids and adults alike. Imho!! -
Peanuts and cracker jacks...batter up!! The 2024 MLB season will begin in Korea when the Dodgers and Padres face off in the Seoul Series from March 20-21. A week later, all 30 clubs are slated to play on Opening Day, on Thursday, March 28th ...just 3 days away. For MLB news where I live, Las Vegas, NV, another date comes to mind, April 2. 2024. Why?? The Tropicana Las Vegas is set to shut its doors permanently, but in phases, on April 2, 2024, to make room for a $1.5 billion Major League Baseball stadium of the Oakland A's. Opening day is slated in 2028. Already the sea of heavy equipment is staged to begin its work at demolishing the iconic Tropicana Hotel and Casino, which once hosted the Rat Pack with Frand Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop. Tropicana’s casino floor will close at 3 a.m., April 2. The property’s food and beverage departments will close at noon as the last hotel customers check out. Already, every possible slot machine, nick-nack, and bobble of value is being sold and removed in preparation of demolition day. What hasn't been decided yet is whether the Tropicana would be demolished through conventional means or with a flashier celebratory implosion. An implosion would require additional environmental permits for that to occur. I pray that I'm still alive when the new A's stadium opens and hosts the New York Yankees...that's a new one for my bucket list before I shuffle off this mortal coil. GO YANKEES!!
