  1. From what i know, many kung fu styles uses "pressure points"
  2. YEs, BJJ came from TJJ, but BJJ like i was discuting with shotokanwarrior today, it was adapted, modified by the Gracies, they modified some techniques so they could be used by a weak person, and they didn't take some aspects of TJJ that aren't useful. BJJ evolutions by itself, TJJ doesn't. and i do see many UFC, Pride, etc because i like them, but i don't know why you say that i believe that i am a UFC fighter?
  3. No, it depends in your strategy, with my strategy i wouldn't lose the fight by that, yours maybe
  4. I agree in that goal is be well rounded.
  5. LOL, yeah why? because those deadly techniques that are not allowed in NHB? pressure points? come on man, don't be so blind, that stuff doesn't work.
  6. Of course, my goal is to be well rounded too
  7. you can't always throw a front kick to the groing, it all depends on your opponent's stance.
  8. I don't think so, for strikes there are boxing and Muay Thai, these are by excellence best striking arts
  9. Sorry i don't wanna lose my time in there. i know i can own a San Soo guy in a NHB fight, so i don't have to go anywhere to prove anything. i know what works and what doesn't.
  10. Of course, i agree, theory and practice go hand in hand, but i am talking you because i've seen and experimented in practice, that's all, we practice different styles right? so our strategies are obiously differents
  11. We are not talking about kicking doors. To do that probably a front kick would be the best, we 're talking about kicks in the street. in a round house kick your hip has much more range of motion than in a front kick
  12. Particulary i don't like a hell Kung Fu and its derivated styles, i haven't see any fight that i can say that it really works, all fights i have seen kung fu practicioners vs anothers art, they always get beaten, i don't believe in those "pressure points" and all that stuff., sorry, it is my conviction what can i say? i believe in what i see it's effective, nor in what "it's supposed to be".
  13. How do you know that i don't takedowns? you can't prove that so STFU. Have you ever been in a real fight? it seems you don't.. you talk very "theoricaly"
  14. Oh i see.. , i know that strongest kick is roundhouse by your hip movement
  15. Sure it is, it's in what BJJ focuses on
  16. really? what TMA have you seen that defeat BJJ for example?
  17. How can you say that? if most times a kung fu ,san soo, etc practicioner, can't deal with one person how are you hoping it works with multiple opponents? NONE art can garantee you that you can deal with multiples attackers, best thing to do in that situation is run or shot with a gun. All that kung fu movies where the guy fights with 239729732 opponents and kills them all is fake
  18. In a street fight kick is very dangerous, so you would want to kick down the waist, a side kick, roundhouse kick is the best. Spar with a Muay Thai practicioner and you'll see what i'm talking about, maybe in what you train round house aren't so powerfull, but a good Muay Thai practicioner with only one good connected low kick can KO you..
  19. That's because you don't know ground fighting. If you're fighting with a guy that is bigger and stronger than you, would you want to trade punches and kicks with him? i wouldn't.. so, my goal would be to take him down and go with him to apply a submission hold, if you don't control him well on the ground do you guess he will stay on the ground? NO!, he will back to his feet, and then you haven't done anything.
  20. LOL, and like you're taught is very powerfull right? all your kung fu stuff... i see.. i hasn't seen many KO'd in K-1 for example with that kind of kick.. with a round house kick you have all the power of your hip, so you can't compare them.
  21. I think its main reason was its effectiveness, it showed to the world that like most fight end up on the ground, if you know have to move there you have a HUGE advantage with your opponent. The effective that you don't need a strong person to defeat a larger opponent, it's just technique. And that it has proved in street fights from its begginings in Brazil, and in NHB fights against anothers styles, and most times it has defeated others. UFC was "da boom" for BJJ, Rorion says that he did the UFC exactly by that, to give the opportunity to the differents martial arts practicioners to fight and see which style was better, to prove it on the ring and not in theory. I think that if UFC wouldn't appeared, BJJ wouldn't be so big like it's now...
  22. Of course, they based on JJJ but adapted many moves, but others they invented. Look that in Judo you only have 1 "guard", in BJJ you have many types of guard.. so, that's the evolution of BJJ
  23. Don't know, ask Kirves He asked for a system with that features and i told him some.
  24. But you said: "nothing is new it is just modified. Unless you have 3 arms and three legs." "so basically out of the whole art you are saying only the spider guard and the sweeps that you can do from it, are the only thing that the gracies invented." you're contradicting yourself Gracies took Ju-Jitsu from Maeda and adapted it to weak persons can use it, and it can be usefull to Brazil's street fights, and, like it's always evolutioning, each time more people invent more things.
  25. No no, where have you been spider guard for example? or all the sweeps that there are from there? Tell me, i want to know
