I know our economy is better than others but instead of giving 22 million to another country that only likes us when we give them something why not give it to our own country for job etc...
-
Even if Saddam would have done what was asked Bush would still have tried to find a way to go to war. They just used that whole scenario as an excuse. It is just a Political move. I think Russian President Putin said best though. "A BIG POLITICAL MISTAKE" I am all for America and its freedom but take a look at your own country first before you go and medal into other countries. I mean the economy is not gaining like they claim. Jobs are still being lost. Small town and other small areas are soon going to need aid that will not be available to them because the government won't have the money. Giving 22 million and a bunch of wheat and rice to the Iraqi refugees is not going to do anything. They will still hate us. Oh well tough right. Its for the good of the nation and the world. YEAH RIGHT. Instead of going out of debt the war will make us go more into debt and deliver another blow to the unstable economy. Americans aren't stupid. We do not always like what the Politicians do. Don't judge the whole nation like many other countries do on what our president and congress are going. The democracy I believe is not what it used to be. It is only the politicians deciding what is going on. We only have a few idiots to choose from. Thats what it comes down to.

Oh yeah I too will support the US in any war even if I do not agree. That is a pride thing. I will also pray for the troops. I have many friends who are over their now and I'm praying for them now. I have more who will be shipped over soon.

I cannot stand Pres Bush. That might as well be it though. Some people may hate America because we have more choices. Sometimes not always the best ones but more. We also have more freedoms. Politics are corrupt and unjust in every country in my opinion. With power offen comes greed and many other qualities that cause pain and controversy. Also in my opinion, No religion says that it is correct to kill someone just because they are not like you. So those who use that are just being minipulated and brainwashed. Because we are all different there will never be total peace in the world but we could try to achieve some kind of common sense that allows for our differences. Just for those who want to know I am a Christian. I do respect all other religions and all other types of people. No one is better than the other. My world is based on the individuals themselves. That is my way of thinking. So I do think Bush gives Americans a bad look over seas. Many of them do not see Americans and how they really act and behave. They judge it by him. Which he is getting into business he should not get into. Of course to his defense many Presidents do that. Maybe that is why America is hated. They think we meddal into their business because our leader does. They forget that not all of us feel the same way as the President. In fact I know Bush is losing a lot of support on the anti terrorist campaign ever since he started the Iraq crap again. Taking out the others was a whole different thing than Saddam. Don't get me wrong I don't agree with what he does in his country but Bush needs to step away from this position on trying to take out what the first Bush started.

You can always find someone who is willing to fight with contact. In my dojo many will not fight with contact. (afraid of injury, and some could not fight their way out of a wet paper bag. That is why your mind set is key to when fighting.) However I know all who will fight and all who will do light and heavy. I have gotten many bloody noses, dislocated shoulder, brocken fingers, etc. but they have all taught me a lesson. Point sparring isn't bad because it teaches you basics and blocking but it will not teach you how to fight. I think it is for more of the self defence part instead of any offense. In my opinion though offense should only be used in extreme situation. So point sparring does have its benefits also.

Anyone got good excuses for a hole in the wall?
BlueDragon1981 replied to BKJ1216's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Yeah don't practice on the wall anymore. Tell the truth and say you didn't know your own strength. Look how effective it was..... -
I also suffer from ingrown toe nails. I however do not let it stop me from doing anything. Matter of fact when my body is warmed up and I'm sparring after one or two hits they don't hurt anymore. (Until the next day) I have gotten my toe nail removed. It is growning back though. So if the doctor tells you that it won't grow back don't listen. The chances of it not growing back are only like 25%. However even if it does grow back it may grow in a better position so they ingrown toe nail doesn't happen. Of course this is a limited percentage also. I would say just get into a MA and not worry about it. If people don't accept you just because of an ingrown toe nail then they have a few screws loose because it is a very common problem. And guess what they are finding out that it is linked to Genetics also.

BlueDragon1981 replied to hermanchauw's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
I too was looking for Capoiera music .... never found any... if you have a music sharing program you can type in as a search and see if it comes up with anything. -

I do have some good friends from the dojo. However a lot of them are just friends there because I live about 40 minutes away for one and two I have to much to do to hang out with them outside the dojo. School, Kids, Work......kind of takes all my time up right now. Once School is over however I'm sure I will be back in the "loop".

I don't think anyone would win. I don't like the show or any reality show for that matter. They are getting carried away with the whole reality show thing.

How to Start Trouble in a Martial Art Forum
BlueDragon1981 replied to KickChick's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I think that everyones opinion is helpful even if you don't agree with it. I have posted my opinion on a lot of things. However I try to stay civil and not upset anyone. Which I think a lot of other people do also. You can disagree with something and not be mean about it. You also have to be able to recieve criticism. In my opinion ( ) that is one thing MA should be teaching you. I put all of the above on the poll because those are all questions that will always raise a lot of controvesy. Well most of them anyway. I mayself do not have good grammar and spelling skills. However I do try to keep it understandable. Also I understand anyone who is from another country have trouble with spelling and grammar. I personally don't like Bruce Lee, but that is my PERSONAL opinion. Take what you want from it. I do however respect him for a Martial Artist and a pioneer. Some of you many know that I do not think any style rises above another. My opinion is the pesons mentallity is what makes each style effective. You have to want to and learn how to apply things in each style. So none of those question I think really should be considered getting you in trouble, but you will have to realize that they will always be contrevsial. -
My belief is that you should start right away to get the experience. Who you spar, how you spar is all up to you however. You can start slow with sparring just lower ranks or you can just jump right in with anyone. That is what I have done my whole martial arts life. I think I am a better fighter, because while the others were fighting someone at their same level I was fighting people above my level. I gained much more than them. Of course I also gained much more injuries.

MAs with only one eye ?
BlueDragon1981 replied to Dustin1978's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Any physical ailment can be overcome. Its the mental ailments that are hard to defeat. Focus and concentration will allow you to accomplish anything you want....: (that is a quote from me that I once told a student) Anyway you shouldn't have to much of a problem as long as you work hard and train. -
colour of belt system???? quick anyone??
BlueDragon1981 replied to babygrew26's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Each system varies. Tae Kwon Do has their own. Aikido has there own. Also each teacher can vary the belts. So it is not a set in stone thing. Normally White is first and black is beginning of "expert level" all in between can have differences depending on the system. Some systems have sashes not belts. Here is our systems rankings. Lowest to highest. Kyus White White 1 stripe White 2 Stripes Green Purple Brown 3 Stripes Brown 2 Stripes Brown 1 or no stripes Black After black the belt colors vary. At i think 4th degree black the belt isn't even black. But they are still considered a 4th degree "Black Belt" So eache system varies and it depends on the style and who teaches it. -
Welcome. My advice is to win.
