What is your favorite supplementary training activity
taezee replied to SaiFightsMS's topic in Health and Fitness
i love running on the beach...listening to the surf crash in and the sound of seagulls...and the sun..i just run and at the same time dream...of things i most want in this world...while taking these runs on the beach nothing in my regular life bothers me...i am at peace..and i am in touch with nature..and all my worries just wash away in the tide... -

tommy...how you doin..the point i was trying to make is that some sports fighting has a public opinion formed about them by either tv coverage or poorly sponsored live events..so when people say things like korean fighters cannot really fight..or kickboxers cant really kick..its a generalization..i know better ive seen and done both..as for fighting or training with you i may take you up on that..please contact me at taezee@yahoo.com..if you know about taekwondo on long island then you will know of my school and master..american taekwondo center in brentwood..master atef himaya..who recently moved to florida..i am his senior student..and currently have transferred to world taekwondo in central islip..if you reread my post again youll see i was really saying what people may precieve and not necessarily my opinion on kickboxing ive seen good fighters and know fighters who will clean my clock..any way ..so now youve heard of me and i look foward to hearing from you..javier _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york instructor taekwondo/hapkido "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-12-19 21:37 ]

alot of the "poor showing" taekwondo in the olymipics is due to a related subject here "judges"and the politics involved in getting members together i know personally at least ten martial artist who should have been on that team...who are taekwondos true top performers real fighters and not tag and hold specialist..but today its who you know and who your master is that determines you being on any national or international team..but as for kickboxing id have to say the same there are some fights that are impresive but for the most part what i have seen in person or on espn is amature boxers throwing terrible kick..kicks so awful i doubt most of them had ever had one karate lesson much less be called a martial artist

corrupt judges
taezee replied to Prodigy-Child's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
yeah you are too nice..besides the fact of politics of judges..you should have learned that to win without any doubt is to knock your oppent silly..im sorry but i am a gentleman..and generally a nice guy..but when we are in the ring i dont care if your my best friend its buisness not personal..and after the match we can talk about how nice and funny i am..so nice i was the one holding the smelling salts under your nose after kicking you out unconcious..awww isnt that nice -
i think its benefical to the martial arts..it gives great exposure and can be enjoyed by a part of the public which doesnt want to invole years of training..as far as being practical on the street..(i really enjoy hearing that all the time like were all in a gang or something..as if real life self defense is gonna be reqiured in some street confrintation..when more then likely will occur indoors somewhere but we never feel the need to call it housefighting) anyway same can be argued about some martial arts schools..people leave there ..head all swelled up thinking they are now invincible and they just dare anybody to try to do something..depending on the instructor it is very possible to learn how to throw an effective roudhouse in a cardio class and other techniques..

full contact TKD
taezee replied to Prodigy-Child's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
obvouisly youve never been in a full contact taekwondo match..there plenty of full contact kicks which hurt...and while no punching to the face is allowed..its still a tough game.. that is why i choose to call it enhanced point fighting instead..there are many other rules..thats just a fact ...nobdy can compare something like a cage match with taekwondo..but dont believe for a second you dont feel full contact when fighting in sport taekwondo -
What dan do you have to open up your own school?
taezee replied to koreantiger81's topic in Instructors and School Owners
heres a reality check..all you need to open a school is money...you dont have to be certified with anyone..and you can have a diploma a fancy one even dipicting yourself as a great master...you could be twenty five and be an eight degree black belt..you could have the fighting skills of a drunk and still you would have students signing up..and looking at you in brainwashed awe..you could charge two three hundred dollars for promotional test as pass students to thier next level even if they could barely do a front kick..you could even say youve" invented" your own system when questioned about your background..how do i know all this? why listen to my expert analysis..? you dont have to be a expert on martiial arts to know all this allready..you just have to be immune from bull**** and apparently unlike me alot of americans or martial artist world wide are not immune...and they just have there wallets open and thier minds closed..easy pickings for a trained master of CON -

what tournaments are you talking about?..ball and heel most certainly are used all the time -
weakness comes from the things we fear..direct confrintation of those fears makes us stronger..instead of avoidance...both physically and especially emotionally

Why very old people should stay away from karate!
taezee replied to Henry South's topic in General Chat
well depending on who your getting involved with you may very well need to utilize self defense techniques...avoiding physical contact welcomed or not...ive almost been raped and been victimized on occasion..somebody help me i feel conflicted..why dont these older women be less agressive with me and realize im a very sensitive man..with feelings .please be gentle with me _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york instructor taekwondo/hapkido "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-12-13 22:14 ] -

this is not meant to be offensive but why would you sit a stare at a wall for nine years?...its my opiniion that some parts(of martial arts) are so romantizied or even taken to an occult level...martial arts is "to learn to fight" period and to go on long tangemnts of the spiritual side or what the monks thought up thousands of years ago..is really not gonna benifit me when im staring at someone with a gun pointing at me or a kinfe at my throat..our lives are so busy we are lucky to have nine minutes staring at a wall forget about 9 years..whats the point.? some one worthy of what?....it all sounds ridiculous...we ar learning a form of self defense not to walk around in shaolin monk attire quoting scripture..or acting like cain from kung fu...... _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york instructor taekwondo/hapkido "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-12-12 20:50 ] -

taezee replied to SaiFightsMS's topic in Health and Fitness
my meditation is playing with my nephew..chillin with my family..reading a good book....talking to that special. someone..having a good laugh..walking on a beach...these are the times when i am most relaxed and my life has most meaning.......cut and dry..no mysterious..ancient asian influence and no long quotes from a book....and listening to music one of the best forms of meditation. akidoka are you going to be a jedi in the next star wars movie? _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york instructor taekwondo/hapkido "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-12-03 18:40 ] [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-12-03 18:42 ] -
