  1. Thanks for that. I appreciate all advice. I would love to have a trophy or medal just to say i have done well and i have worked for it. So what your saying is that i need to train according to competition rules, but first i need to know what the rules are. I don't even know if i can fight good enough because we don't do an awful lot of it at class. It's not that i'm a show off and go parading round in my gear all day just to let people know what i do. I just take my karate very seriously and i'm passionate about it, so if i don't compete i feel like i'm missing out. Do you understand what i mean by that? Like i'm not reaching my full potential. Anyway i will speak to my sensei about it on monday. Thankyou. OSS Kez xx
  2. Congrats chick, although completely different from what your original choices were lol. Kez xx
  3. Thanks for that. I am taking Lanzeprazole. I have been hospital to see about having a camera down and they told me i didnt need it because there are no other symptoms but heartburn...so it's basically being controlled by meds. Kez xx
  4. Thanks Hun. I had quite before for four months last year and i was gutted when i started again! I hate smoking, it's something i will really hit home with the kids. Although my eldest son is always shouting at me for it, he is 9 going on 50 lol. Kez xx
  5. Gheinisch, do you think they will ever get rescued? Kez xx
  6. OOOO Sohan your so clever, you make loads of sense. I have set a quit date for next tuesday!! Fingers crossed. Kez xx
  7. Yeah cheers Sohan i have seen the doc already it's been a long thing going on but he keeps putting me on meds, he just thinks i'm on a dodgy diet cos i get heartburn as well. Thanks for the advice hun. Kez xx
  8. Hi guys. Ok so our club isn't competition based, we hardly ever enter competitions as a club. Our sensei does have club comps but only for the children, unfortunatly for me there isn't many adults within his club so he doesn't do adult comps. Sensei always says that although we dont compete as a club there is nothing stopping a student of his competing if he/she wishes to do so. The thing is i am 2nd kyu and i have never entered a competition and i feel i'm missing out on a very good experience but i am scared. I was talking to the assistant instructor tonight and he said in competition kumite you get hurt and the women can be quite aggresive. Also i would probably have to go alone and i wouldn't have a clue of what to do. He also said that he would recommend that i enter one for the experience alone. I really don't know what to do, how to enter, at the same time i am itching to have a go. The way i see it is that if i don't like it i don't have to do it again, at least i can say i have tried! Kez xx
  9. Eh? Oh yeah i see what your saying, it's very freaky to say the least!

  13. lol getaway thats what i'm trying to find out. I constantly have an upset stomach, it's not so much pain just an 'uncomfortable' and 'off' feeling and i hate it thats why i made this post on potassium and the other one on salt. I want to try and eat the right foods. Kez xx
  14. In our club i have only come accross a changed kata once and that was heian godan, it was only a very sight change but i didnt like it because it confused me. I think all kata's should stay the same. Kez xx
  15. We have 11 belts in our system and we grade every three months, until you get to the three browns then it's six months between. I agree it all depends on your system and how hard you train. Kez xx
  16. OOOO i watched lost on e4 last night. Was Micheal really talking to Walt on the computer? And whats with the horse on the island? Can someone please tell me how many episodes there are in season 2. Kez xx

  18. Hey everyone. Here i am again with lots of questions I can't run! I get out of breath quite quickly. I train 3 times a week at the dojo and cycle but when i run i have to stop after a short while. So why can't i run? I have made a quit date to stop smoking and then i want to join our local athletics group. Why don't i get out of breath the same when i do karate? Is there a certain way i should be running, do you have to do it gradually? Any advice will be most welcome Kez xx
  19. Yeah when you go in macdonalds and buy a meal it comes with a drink because of the salt content on the fries. I think thats why the staff put so much salt on them so people are more inclined to spend more and buy the meal. Salt does make you very thirsty.
  20. Jumping on the spot, star jumps, lots of leg stretching, neck exercises, hip and knee rotation and some running around the dojo!
  21. lol i dribble when i have fillings my mouth feels much larger than what it is lol
  22. Well yes we can go through this together...i am sick of having infections on this tooth so i'll be glad when it has gone, they were on about removing all of them i said 'you can shove off' lol. I'm glad to hear that about the sedation, i'll let you know how i get in karate k. Kez xx
  23. Ok on 23rd June i have to go into hospital to have a wisdom tooth removed and i'm petrified. Pathetic i know, i have given birth twice and this is scaring me I will be having local anastetic and sedation cos i suffer with anxiety attacks, which i think is making the whole thing worse. So has anyone ever had this procedure done? Not sure i want to hear the horror stories, just the nice ones lol. Seriously though can anyone put my mind at rest, will i feel and what if the anastetic or sedation doesnt work or wears off half way through? What if i get an allergic reaction to the anastetic? And how much time out would i need from karate after it's done? Kez
  24. Cool pics karate k Kez xx
  25. I go like that when i have had a few weeks off karate for whatever reason. Your body just isnt used to it.....like the others say hang in there!!
