  2. The only belt i have washed is my white belt. I never washed any other but i have never lost any knowledge or anything else for my karate...i'm still as good as i always was.
  3. Cycling for sure...it's great for building calf muscles and it's very relaxing with the breeze and speed or just cruising. I also like swimming but don't go very often.
  4. I do shotokan and have 3 favourites...Heian Yondan, bassai dai and Jion
  5. Yeah thats true aefibird, such a shame really because even though i don't have much choice but to buy on line i so much prefer to go into a shop and look what they have. If i had money i would open a martial arts store!!
  6. Hehe was lovely and sunny here in manchester for the last two days. Today though is looking a bit dull though, tut tut. If only i could control the weather!!
  7. Years ago i visited a martial arts store in Manchester, i was in awe in there i loved it. It sold equipment, clothing, books, ect. I took a trip to Manchester yesterday with my son and i couldn't find it! I did end up in one martial arts store near Picadilly gardens but that wasn't the one i meant and it was tacky and small, so this has left me feeling rather frustrated because i know there was another one. So then.....i think it was called Lee's martial arts (But not certain), and at the end of Portland Street past Picadilly. Does anybody know it? I will keep looking but it's a long trip into Manchester from where i live. I bet i just dreamt it lol....no really i did go in it!! Can anybody help? I have tried google but nothing came up!

  9. Thanks Richard, Jaymac...greatly appreciated. Kez xx
  10. I agree with shotochem despite rank a senior should always have respect from a junior. On the other hand i think it's really sweet this little guy is always bugging you lol he must like you. Just ask for the chat later after the class.
  11. I did manage to quit for four months when a scan revealed a DVT. I was placed on warfarin but later heamorraged so had to have a blood transfusion. Anyway my gp basically terrified me into giving up smoking, he said if the clot moved i WOULD die!! Nice eh? It did make me quit and then a social night out ruined everything four months later.
  12. Wow thats very interesting information, thanks!!
  13. lol yes they are jpn they should leave them dirty
  14. Thats interesting! Can't wait to see all that. I hope they get Walt back though.
  15. Oh yeah i forgot it started out on the sega, the combos are very hard, could never master them either. The newer two mk's are easier to control.
  16. Woohooo to uk. Welcome to the site Samuel and good luck with your ma training. Kez xx
  17. These games i find are brilliant. The first three made for the ps1 were good and are classics. Then they made Mortal Kombat deception and Mortal Kombat Deadly alliance, and although they were good but they were unbelievebly violent. The bloodshed is awful, but i have to admit i think they are very 'realistic' martial arts games. What do you lot think? And are there any more games that can match up to Mortal Kombat? Kez
  18. Ok yeah that all sounds great but where will they get all the medical supplies, beer ect from to run these things? And who are 'the others' and why do they keep stealing people? They seem to be doing sinister things with their minds.
  19. Hi good luck with the gradings. What is Kobudo? Kez xx
  20. Wow bet she couldn't do that again!!
  21. Instructors who promise black belts like that are just out for money. We had a 1st kyu in our club for over 12 months before he graded for his black belt.
  22. Yeah lots of people have done that, i did that too when i was a teenager. I have also ridden into lampposts on my bike and gone flying. lol
