  1. I am completely lost There are new names being mentioned here that i dont remember from the other two series.
  2. Ewwwwww (again) lol Give me chicken soup anytime. I once tried pea soup and it was awful, just like eating mushy peas
  3. Hows things going bushido? xxx
  4. Hehe Richard do you do a karate class in the changing cubicle to check you can use karate in the clothes? I can just vision you in the changing room in front of the mirror with new jeans with the tags practising kicks and stuff I gotta admit i suppose this is important. The fact that your not in your gi when your socialising, when others are most likely to start problems.
  5. Yeah i never thought of it like that I guess it is a good idea to practise kicking with your shoe's on.
  6. Eeeewww what strange tastes you all have. Chicken noodle i guess would be ok, not sure about the fishie one's tho, or meatball, and whats clam chowder, is it another fishie one? For me i'm happy with the basics. Tomato soup, chicken, mushroom and oxtail. I hate vegetable soup yuk
  7. Yeah kirsty i agree it is about patience, i think i'm so giddy about it i just want it to happen....like now Thanks Zapatista, very good advice. You are both right, i don't use anything negative when he does it in his pants..accidents happen. I was very pleased however, i was at my parents course on tuesday morning and Ethan goes in the creche, i put him a pull up on but the staff told me he went to the toilet, so i was pleased about that.
  8. I haven't seen it yet Sohan. I bought it off someone on ebay and they ripped me off....gggrrrrrr. Gotta find another copy now.
  9. I don't drink it either, it's too expensive for starters. I just have sports drinks for training.
  10. My finger is getting much better now, it still hurts a little when i bend or straighten it. I had it taped up for just over a week but luckily it didnt hurt any more than it already did when i first injured it. I just tape it up for karate now and just sit out of sparring.
  11. Think i would agree with this one!
  12. Poor kirsty had a knee op, thinkin of ya hun x Sorry to hear you need more rest Bushido, keep up with it you'll soon be back in action, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you hun x
  13. Good thing then Bushido you noticed it. At least now she can practise what you told her and not cause herself damage on her elbows.
  14. Thats brilliant, probably just the same way we would practise it. I have been trying empi for a while and im struggling. I thought his performance of it was awesome.
  15. Yeah that is very sad Shame to see these young kids on the drugs. Would be great though if they came off them and joined the dojo for real, it would turn their lives around for the better.
  16. We basically have four sessions a week and i tend to attend two or three, it's difficult cos i have to get a babysitter for my little boy, i would train all four if i could! Mondays is basics and Kata. Wednesdays is kata, bunkai and self defence. Fridays combination work, kumite and some kata and on sundays is kata and kumite.
  17. Unfortunatly you are right about my sleeping habbits and diet. I go bed quite late and have to get up early, i don't eat breakfast, just have a cup of coffee. Have a small lunch and small tea. I get full very quickly so don't eat much. I will work on this though. Thanks for that.
  18. Well i agree with everything that has been said so far, it all rings bells with me. I have never been a fighter, never been very good at it. I am only average now but i can hold my own i think. The more you practise it the better you get, i have to do more in this field for my black belt grading next year.
  19. Awww just turned one brings back memories. Potty training is a nightmare, or it is for me anyway. Some mums (or dads) have it cracked in a matter of days. But yes it is exciting, i knew he was ready because he kept taking his nappy off and getting poop everywhere....eeewwww, not pleasant. Yes please ask your wife, would be great to have other advice. Thanks x
  20. So would have a training routine in the morning give you more energy throughout the day? i'm often tired during the day without much energy. Could you suggest something small and easy to be getting on with? Thanks Kez
  21. Yeah i guess your right Sohan, i will start to give it a go. Kez x
  22. Totally agree with you Sohan, i hate that too, and to be honest i'm such a big baby when i'm sick that i just sulk on the sofa watching tv lol. There was a time when we were training and this kid just wouldn't stop coughing, it was very irritating and very loud. In the end the sensei had to tell her to sit out!
  23. Not sure how i'd feel if this happened in our club, but it is rather amusing to read. I trained once in a club next door to a pub but we never had that happen
  24. Double gradings sounds like the sensible thing. I also had a good 10 years or more gap, luckily my sensei let me wear my old belt (4th kyu). But i had a lot of catching up to do, and had to wear the belt for a long time. Like ninjanurse says, the curriculum may have changed too. Sometime with us certain moves in kata's are changed. Keep with it and train hard, soon you will be back to wearing that brown belt again and have a feeling of that is where you belong. Good luck with your training!
