Well i got a call last night at 11.30pm, they had arrived in Barbados safely and he was on the ship. One thing bothered me though. His nana called her husband in England from Barbados to tell him they were ok and then he called me at home. Now why couldn't they have called me first? I'm so glad he is safe but i just wanted to hear his voice. I'm being petty now i know, just i haven't spoken to him since monday afternoon, it's now wednesday. I'm just sat here wondering what he's doing now, i don't even know the time difference. I bet he's have a whale of a time.

No i have never tried that, not sure i would want to either lol

Awww thanks guys! I do feel better, he'll be almost in barbados now, on the plane as we speak! He should land around 8pm. I managed to get some shopping to day for him and stuff. Ethan keeps thinking he's still at school It is peaceful though, with no fighting between them.

I think we all show off from time to time, i know i'm guilty of it. I don't have a particular incident but from time to time if i'm at a friends house i may suddenly go into a roundhouse kick

This sounds really good, especially those who dont have the room, i'm lucky enough to have a good sized room to train.

Nothing at all wrong with kids, just when you bring them up and your with them 24/7 its nice to have a rest from them.

Yes AT when i go into the mountains in a car or train or on a plane my ear pops very hard and it's very painful. I have dreadful hearing and regular earache. I can't go to clubs any more because the loud music makes my ear drum burst which causes an infection and bleeding from my ear...so trust me i do know where your coming from. You would be surprised at how many people suffer with tinitus but don't suffer with the other ear problems we have explained. To be honest its probably something you just have to live with, as i have for many years.

Yeah i feel a little better now, i went karate and let some tension out lol. I hope he will send me a postcard. They have the internet on the ship so he said he will email me.

We have touched a lot here on respect and honour for sensei's and masters. I have often spoke of the respect i have for my sensei, but he has a personality where you can laugh with him but he also has a scary aspect too, where sometimes you can feel a little nervous on approaching him. I have a shy side to me so that does apply to me a lot. Well tonight that changed...i think i respect and like him more than ever. Tonight was a very small class, only four of us turned up. The weather here is horrendous at the moment, very strong gales, heavy rain and floods, it was like that tonight and i still made the 30 minute cycle to class. At the end of the class we were talking about getting in students and he said to me "well thank you for coming tonight Kerry, i don't forget people who do things like that"....mainly because the weather was so bad and i looked like a drowned rat lol he said "It shows your determination and enthusiasm, and dedication". I know this is going off the subject a little but it's just that we have been talking about respect and sensei's. My sensei is a sensei that doesn't make many comments, if your doing well he says nothing if you mess up then you sure know about it, so hearing him say this to me has really made me happy and have a whole lot more respect for him. Do you guys see what i mean?

Hey guys....i need to vent...i am crying as i'm writing this...sounds stupid i know. My Ryan has just left for Barbados! He has a 9 hour flight from Manchester airport to Barbados then they are jumping on a cruise ship and cruising the carribbean for two weeks. I am sounding really sad about this but it's not that, he is my first born and we have been through so much together and i brought him up from a baby alone. He has never been away from me for more than a weekend. I am so happy this opportunity has come about for him, he is having a holiday of a lifetime at the age of 9 and this is something i will never be able to afford for him. I sent him off with lots of kisses and cuddles, it was raining and i had my toddler in my arms and really couldn't keep him any longer, i had to let him get in the car, he was getting very wet. i know he is going to be very well looked after, as he is going with his dad and his dad's family. I hope he isn't upset and enjoys every single minute of his adventure and brings me lots of photographs home, he even promised me a coconut! I'm being positive about the whole thing and have made some plans for me and Ethan to have some fun and spend some quality time together, i'm even going to take him to see santa. I'm sure all you parents on here can see it from my point of view, i just needed to talk to someone quick so Ethan didnt get to concerned! Kerry

Things NOT to say to your instructor...

Our kids do that a lot too A newbie recently asked him...'what belt are you?' -
AT i'm totally with you there, it's tinitus (think thats how you spell it). I have it too and it's worse at night because its so quiet. It drives me mad too and can become bad when it keeps you awake, very annoying I was offered some kind of apparatus to use for the ringing but the doctor said that sometimes they can be more trouble than they are worth because sometimes if the ringing isnt to bad the equipment makes more noise...so i decided against that.

Aww Brian thats lovely to hear. It is hard when you have kids, somtimes things become strained! I love it when i get to go out without the kids, but i'm single so i get lonely Aww i hope this keeps happening for you both, it's obvious it's made you both very happy, and i like to see my friends happy. kez

Congrats and well done! Keep training hard. -
Well i have my hair shaved around the sids to make like a triangle point at the back at the bottom, then cut really short in the rest so i can spike it, sometimes i will have it streaked.

Ryan had his comp today and he did really well. He got knocked out on the kata on the first round, but he tried his very best. The kumite he got through the first round and fought for 3rd place, unfortunatly the judges put him up against a rather large kid and ryan lost. But on the whole he did well and got a certificate for taking part...so well done ryan and roll on next year!
