  3. Has anyone bought this book from Matt Furey? I bought combat conditioning and liked it, so I think I will get combat abs too. If you bought it, was it worth the money?
  4. Here's what you do. Join an Okinawan Karate school. In the Okinawan Karates, you can make use of your leg strength with the powerful kicks, while also learning throws, since that's what you enjoy. It also is very good exersize.
  5. Does anyone know how to join the UFC? One of my freinds wants to join when he gets out of school, and I might too. I just can't find information on joining. Any help woul be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

  8. I can also do about 65 pushups. About 200 squats with good form, about 4 feet high, and i'm 14.

  11. two 25 pound weight dishes, a wall mounted workout setup using elastic cords for resistance, weighted gloves, some running shoes, and some sports outfits. And I forgot, new sparring pads.

  13. Actually I am making a weight vest (30 lbs), and I will tell you how it works out.
  14. Push ups don't = power anyway, they = endurance. If you want to build power in your punches, get your 1rm on bench press up.

    Goju Ryu

    I do shorin ryu, and it has next to no crane style fighting at all. If I had to liken it to a kung fu, it would be dragon. Okinawan Karate came from Chinese Kung fu, and Japanese kickboxing. They blended the hard (Japanese) with the soft (kung fu) to make the Okinawan Karate styles.
  16. I say go to a tournament. That's good motivation right, wanting to win always seems to help.
  17. remember, muscle is heavier than fat. Try to build some muscle thru weight lifting as well as a 2000 calorie diet. see if that doesn't help.

  22. I f you want to be on the safe side of things take either creatine or amino acid supplements.
  23. I read some where that Bruce Lee was only 135 pounds. That's tiny!
  24. I think an egg sandwich would b better because it has carbs from the bread.
