  1. And if she does, you just have to mow him down.
  2. Grappling is not good for street defence. Once your on the ground, you open yourself to anything. Like any bystander can kick your face in. You could be hit by a chair, table, pool stick, beer bottle, ect. Or while you have someone in a choke hold, someone could knock you out from behind.
  3. Take a bucket of sand and punch into it. Work on getting you're max number of medium powered punches up to 500 or 1000, the work on making them harder and harder. This builds the thickness of the skin o you're knuckles. After you can do 500 full power, start working on a makiwara to build the bone strength. Once you master that, find a flexible tree and start hitting that. This requires bone and skin strength.
  4. Also, you said there were several reasons for not using wieghts. I'm just curious, would you list them?
  5. 10 200 meter sprints, every other day. Preform them at absolute max speed.
  6. A sempai is an assistant instructor or senior student. Patches representing the style should be worn over the heart. At my school, we also have a patch representing the school over the right shoulder.
  7. If you're in good shape, calisthenics should be done every day, weight lifting is every other day.
  8. I'm 5'11, and I'm 15. I would think a dwarf would provide the most challenge if they did a grappling art.
  9. 1 or 2. Just fold your arms across your chest, keep your feet flat, and touch your nose to the ground if you can, and hold for three minutes. It works your neck and entire back better than anything else I have ever done. That way you dont get a muscle imbalance from a strong front and a weak back.
  10. I'm sorry, I meant 3 minutes. Not 300!
  11. go here http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&lr=lang_en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=matt+furey+ The pic on the second line called bridge.jpg is a bridge. Work on holding it for 300 minutes.
  12. Yes, it's actually very good. If you want to work your back muscles more, do some bridging.
  13. I took some times, and here are some suggestions. Take the mile off that list. That is your calisthenic routine. Try to get your time down to 45 minutes on that. Then if you are also trying to develope your cardio vascular system, alternate these every other day. Sprint Day 2 quarter mile sprints 2 half mile sprints rest one minute thirty seconds between runs, and work on getting your time down. Endurance Day run six miles (nonstop). carry water with you, and work on getting you time down to eight minutes on every mile. Either running routine will take you 45 minutes with some work, and so will the calisthenic routine, so you could hypothetically get it all done in 1 hour, 30 minutes.
  14. It does when you're a mechanic.
  15. holy crap, a twisted nut! How did you get that? and no bike riding or sprinting.
  16. I can do a kip. I can almost land a handspring (front).
  17. Handstand pushups. Also,You might want to take Saturdays off from calisthenics, and just do wind sprints. It's good for a recovery day, and it gives an anaerobic workout.
  18. Yeah, just like girls getting punched in the boobs I guess.
  19. Not possible to do 400 pushups, you're joking, I hope. Lot's of people do that kinda thing.
  20. Getting kicked in the nuts hurts, but also p*sses you off and releases adreneline. It seems getting kicked in the nuts just means it's butt kickin time.

    Hip flick

It's easy. You just snap your hip out and back as you punch. It gives it a good powerful snap.
