fighting in the full contact kickboxing continuous sparring circut ive come across alot of point fighters...........i had to oppurtunity to go to a karate class with a bunch of point fighters, it was kinda boring and i saw that karate has become very diluted in the point fighting circuts i personally do not like point fighting alot, and my coach HATES it..........he keeps telling the canadian kickboxing/continuous team that he does not think point fighters are real athletes...........

you shoulda backed down then......girlz hate guys that have to try to act all macho, they were not bothering your girlfriend so you shoulda just let your buddy go and get his ass kicked and stayed outta it yourself

when you go up against strikers its not too hard to break that distance line and take them down if u wanna go into a mixed martial arts event make sure you are competant on the ground because you are asking for a beating if you arent

what does everyone here do for a living? currently i am a student, i want to get into the police force after college and fight pro kickboxing on the side

im happy with kickboxing and jiu jitsu........id like to study muay thai but i dont think id go competitive in it

when you have the flu all your white blood cells are attacking the virus but if you are sick with a cold/flu your white blood cells have to repair all the damaged muscle tissue and so on......therefor if you are still working out with a flu/cold expect to be sick for a little while longer because the virus isnt being attacked by as much white blood cells as it can be

my kickboxing coach fought billy blanks about 3 times the first time billy beat him,, but the second and third time my coach schooled him!!!! i saw the tape.......it was a pretty good fight

the CRTC requires all canadian television stations and radio stations to play a good percentage of canadian content (CANCON) but mike miles muay thai takes place in calgary therefore that is classified as CANCON so why are they scrapping it for a dog show? i think the boxing commisions are paying off sports channels so they wont program kickboxing/muay thai..........its all about the $$$$$$$

before i got a fight i drink about 30 glasses of water a day............and if you can afford it get a massage once a week to loosen up your back and so on...

im a lighter guy and most of my submissions come from when i am in my guard..........i usually get alot of chokes from the guard but if i can time it perfectly and everything works right i can slap on a pretty nasty arm bar but the best position for me where i know i am going to win is when i got myself a complete backmount on my opponant and when i get my signature triangle choke on!

if you are fighting a grappler it is wise not to kick very high,,,,,,,,,,,also stick with direct kicks instead of indirect kicks and make them fast.......another thing follow up your kicks with punches so you can get out of the critical distance line for me personally ....... being a kickboxer and jiu jitsu stylist i dont really worry about being taken down because i know how to fight on the ground and on my feet.....

i love martial arts and i show my love for it by respecting the art, senseis and respecting my fellow martial artists i am also very humble about my training

the jet is a good fighter but what is not publisized enough is the fact that he has turned down challenges from thai boxers and the few thai boxers that he fought (under watered down thai rules) have killed him

it all depends on the person, you buddy probably used alot of direct kicks like side kicks its hard to take somebody down when they are using a side kick, round houses are a different story

dont get me wrong i was expecting to pay a bit more then for a regular car because of all of the modifcations on it but still i couldnt believe plus........id be getting so many chicks if i was riding that beast around!

my import racing thread got me thinking about this, i think that it is BS that guys have to pay so much more for car insurance then guys do. i was gonna get a 94 Toyota Supra, 350 horses in it, (it had turbo charger in it by the way) manual transmission, white and red.... with a kick ass stereo system, this thing also looked really nice too, it was lowered with kick ass rims!!!!!! anyway i tell the seller to hold it for me for 2 days so i can get a insurance quote..........4 hours later my insurance quote came out to $387 a month!!!!!! now i am a pretty good driver.......(and dont gimmie that BS that statistics prove that guys are more of a safety hazard on the roads then girls are) because i have a school work placement at the police station in the accident reporting centre..........and a majority of the accidents that i have filed was a girls fault (not saying that girls are bad drivers) i put through about 20 reports one day (all rear enders) and the people who got rear ended got rear ended by a girl, the statements usually started off with "i was talking to my friend on my cell phone" or "i was putting on my make up and i locked out my brakes and hit the guy in front of me" now i think that girls and guys should have the same insurance rates.........cuz i want my damn supra! ive been in a few accidents myself, one time my friend was driving and he got ran off the road by some girl driving grand am........i myself have also been rear ended 3 times ALL BY FEMALES NOW im not sexist or anything but ive seen more girls get in accidents at their own fault then boys, so i think guys and girls should have the same rates its only fair!
