i have to agree kickchick, chon ji is my least favourite pattern, it is very simple and kinda boring to do. can you explain taebot how it has joint locks and sweeps in it? (im just looking forward to being taught dan gun!)
have you been to see any classes yet? if so, what styles are you thinking about? Taekwon do is a good style to get into, but make sure its a good school, there are sooooo many mcdojos out there.
i found a nice site for people like me that dont know much about this kinda thing. http://www.huddsonline.co.uk/Sports_dumbbell_exercises.htm i found it very good, tell me what you think.
sorry if this has been asked, but can you help me out with what those things on the link are kickchick. all those exercises build pecs but i have no clue what any of them are. ive got some dumb bells but dont really know how to use them for pecs. if you could help me out id really apreasiate it.
firstly welcome to kf.com! secondly you are right in saying that it is never to late to learn to defend yourself. and thirdly do you know what styles are being taught around your area? im sure we could give you enough info on each for you to make a decision.
personally i think that the bo would win. the nunchaku is alot harder to block with and the bo is easy to attack/defend with. the bo seems clear to me the winner.
