  1. That's only very generally speaking of course. Some big guys are very fast, but just answering why there is this stereotype.
  2. Because bigger guys are often more generally tense. Being tense means that both agonistic and antagonistic muslces are at least partially contracting. As we all know, movement relies on one of the pairs being more relaxed than the other. Speed of movement dictates that the greater the difference in relaxation/flexion, the greater the speed. If both sides are partially tensed, the difference between them is reduced and therefore, so is the speed.

  23. A friend of mine shaves his legs. At first it was for his running, but now he just does it cos he likes the look of it.
  24. As mentioned, there are some limitations on these machines. They can only do one exersize and they need to be used continuously (like any normal stretching). The main advantage of them is this. When doing an excersize like the splits, the muscles need to be slightly contracted to support your weight. The only way to fully stretch is to relax the muscles you are stretching. This machine allows you to do that.
